Just the job
I used to use one of those incinerators that sell a lot on Amazon but they’re small, thin and don’t last long, this is massive, thick and sturdy and just what I needed. First use was a couple of days ago, we had a lot of old boxes to get rid of and rather than having to tear everything into small pieces to get it in it was taking the average sized Amazon boxes whole, it was actually an effort to keep up with the speed it was devouring them, marvellous.

Robust
This is an old oil drum with some large (about 1 1/2 inch dia) holes drilled in the sides and bottom. It has been very wet since it arrived so cannot comment on its burning capabilities. It should last significantly longer than the galvanised thing we got from a diy centre which has rotted away with rust at the bottom.

Burning a fire is your responsibility. This drum is a great tool to assist you in this job.
Cleaning out house, garage, loft & garden. Bought this as my shredder & BBQ couldn’t cope with workload. As per an earlier poor review about ash falling out of the holes? You need to understand how a fire works. Fires need fuel & oxygen to burn. Without these all fire extinguish. Getting fuel into the drum is easy but need to keep the holes clear of ash so fire can be well oxygenated. i.e. the ash has to come out. Use a stick & encourage it to come out. Used paper & a small splash of petrol to start, with very small kindling to get the fire going, then slowly add larger or damp pieces. If you keep adding variable fuel materials & keep the holes clear then this drum does the trick. This argument is the same no matter what incinerator you buy. You have to manage your fire. If you just throw everything in & expect it to turn to ash you will be disappointed. Only thing I would recommend is adding some bricks or metal work underneath to raise drum from the floor. Also keep a stick or branch wet to shove inside the wholes to lift items that may be smothering your fire.

Great for that hobo chic
The fire stayed in the fire bin. The things in the fire bin became ash. The nature of fire consumed, and was consumed in turn. It's a metaphor for existence. Ashes to ashes, boxes to ashes, wood to ashes.Generally, ashes.

FIRE BURNING DRUM
THE PRODUCT ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY. IT IS LARGE WHICH IS GREAT. DOWNSIDE IS NO LEGS SO I NEED TO FIND SOME BRICKS TO ALLOW AIR TO DRAW FRONT THE BOTTOM. ALSO THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE HOLES IN BOTTOM AND LOWER SIDES. NOW NEED GOOD WEATHER TO BURN MY RUBBISH....

Will burn stuff but not before it burns itself and deforms
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Had a medium sized fire burning only wood offcuts and dry leaves. The paint burned off instantly releasing thick toxic smoke into air and flakes everywhere. Complaints from.neighbours over awful burning paint smell.

Fire
Great product, large capacity, heavy duty and looks cool! Could do with more holes for air flow and there are some sharp bits of metal and a coating of oil in the drum but nothing to worry about. Very pleased wirh it! Thanks!
