This Covers Great!
We use this product to prep and refinish kitchen cabinets, and prep trim before we paint it. We operate 4 crews a day, all year round, and can't recommend this product enough.

Pretty Solid Product
I decided to restore the 100 year old pine subfloor in my attic. The floor was in rough shape, lots of nicks, gouges, broken ends, and holes throughout. The patch went on easy and was even easier to use when thinned with about a cup of water. It filled all the gaps between the boards without shrinking or cracking. The key is to make sure your floor is well prepped, and to echo other reviewers- you can't use this to fill a hole all at once. You need to fill it a little at a time and build up the layers.Restoring a floor yourself is a lot of work, that's why it costs so much to have it done by a pro, but if you put in the time- you can get the same results yourself.

Good
Good stuff right here. The packaging for shipping could of been better it leaked some but didn’t affect the product.

Shrinks
I’m a cabinet maker of over 40 years, I bought this to fill wood grain but used it on another project first, I built a custom mantle and had a lot of nail holes to fill, I liked this patch product when applying it, the consistency is great, it’s dense and applies smoothly, it also sands great too, no clogging, I figured what could go wrong, I found that out once I applied a paint finish over the Mantle I spent a weeks building, I was sick to see ALL the nail fill spots, showing a dimple over every single nail hole, this product SHRINKS!, and the extra work it created to go over every dimple with a vinyl spackle, (which I should have used instead) it was like prepping the mantle ALL over again!! A patch or grain fill product should FILL it flush without any shrinkage making it completely undetectable after a finish is applied.. I don’t know what anyone would use this for, I’ll most likely be returning it, it’s USELESS!.

Goes on easy
I just finished putting this down. It's a little like pudding in consistency. Goes on pretty easy. It does have some significant shrinkage, so I think I'll have to do a second run. It didn't take nearly as much product as I thought it would. This entire floor took less than half a gallon. I haven't stained it yet, but I imagine it will take the stain fine.

Didn't work well on subfloor
I found our 2nd floor had a gorgeous subfloor under a layer of carpet and 2 layers of linoleum that I wanted to keep exposed. It was a little worse for the wear so I needed to fill some holes. The fill was quite easy to apply and looked ok initially. It didn't take the semi-transparent stain test patch too well but the real issue was that the fill didn't stay in the cracks or holes. Speaking to the contractor he suspects because the subfloor may shift when walking on it it wouldn't keep the fill in. I decided to remove the fill by taking a hammer to the floor and bouncing most of it out then scraping out the rest. We left the floor as is and stained and sealed. I really love the floor, imperfections and all.

Won't Take Stain and Breaks Down Quickly
In an effort to extend the life of the deck boards before having to replace them in a few years, we decided to fill spots across the deck after we stripped the old stain and before applying a new coat. Using this product was a mistake to do that. While initially, the patch product filled holes and sanded easily, it refused to take stain properly and left mismatched colors across the entire deck. While not ideal, we could have lived with it as a minor inconvenience. However, now 6 months later after applying the product, it is breaking down all across the deck, with every application spot cracking across the entire surface and breaking down, leaving holes in the deck it was supposed to repair. The pictures attached show a small scope of the problem that covers an entire deck now. This products failure has effectively ruined countless hours of labor and the hundreds of dollars of stain that went into our deck restoral project. Stay as far away from it as you can.
