Small size
Good product from APC as always, small in size so will fit under desk, the price is expensive but worth it to save your computer, easy to setup, you may need to buy more power leads if connecting more than one thing,

Doesn't ship with a kettle lead so check if you need one when ordering. Simple to use.
Very easy to install and works strait out of the box. Home users note, it doesn't ship with a "kettle lead" (three point wall plug to UPS power input), so check you've got one spare or add one to your order (e.g. plugging into a desktop PC you simply use the PC lead for the UPS, then use one of the two leads supplied with the UPS to complete the supply to the PC). The unit is slightly smaller than your average shoe box so it's easy to hide away under a desk etc. Finally, as a retired IT pro I've used APC for years without issue. Their build quality tends to be very good.

Smart & capable
Smart looking product, big improvement on the last one I bought, about 12 years ago. Provides lots of confidence that I will not lose work if there is a power cut. My old one (APC) gave up the ghost a couple of years ago and I didn't bother to replace it as we hadn't had a power cut for a long time. Of course, we had one recently and I lost a couple of hours work, so immediately bought this one. Only problem was that, I was expecting it to have 3-pin plug sockets and it has computer type power sockets instead and only comes with two power cables for 12 sockets. So, I had to buy some suitable power cables. No problem, but would have been good to know this before it arrived. Hence 4-stars not 5.

Very good UPS.
This is used in my office and powers various monitors, printer, network, NAS drive and laptops. In total it’s running a load of around 250 watts and showing a battery runtime of around 40 mins which is more than enough to cope with most domestic power outages. My guess is that when the time comes the only downside will be the battery replacement will be expensive. I also own two Cyberpower UPS’s and the batteries for those cost about £17 whereas the APC is over £100 if you go with a genuine APC one. Just one to think about a couple of years down the road. Apart from that. It is easy to install has 10 IEC sockets on the rear (all surge protected and 5 covered by the battery). Also, has surge protection for your network which is great if you have network cables that run outside of the building and also helps to remove noise over longer cable runs.

More than enough power to keep your running smooth and safe.
Having used many APC products in my professional life, I wasn't surprised to find the fantastic quality of this product.I was a little confused by the connections and interfaces (a USB to RJ45 cable...really?!), but that may just be because I'm used to the commercial kit. After thoroughly reading the manual though I did get everything setup as I needed.Works exceptionally well with my Synology NAS, once plugged in the NAS set itself up before I even found the options! I was having quite a few issues with input voltage irregularity prior to getting this, but once I set the UPS to it's maximum sensitivity, everything is working perfectly. This capacity will run a four-bay NAS for two and a half hours however, so I'm going to get a smaller unit for the NAS and move this to my main rig setup instead. The only downside is that although you can set the screen to turn off after a set time, there seems to be no way to disable the button LEDs so the unit always gives off a white glow which can be a little annoying at times. As a final note, I had my NAS running straight from the mains for around 5 months prior to getting this UPS and never had an issue; after only having it setup for a few weeks, something blew and caused a huge surge which took out a many other electronics. You really never know when your luck is going to run out so make sure you're prepared, I could have lost 10TB of data if I didn't have this UPS.

Very reliable and informative.
This device is used to supply power to a number of rack mounted devices in my home, CCTV servers, media servers, sonos amps, desktop pc and nas drives. There are multiple options for connectivity to allow for graceful or hard shutdown of different devices when power gets low, and the information provided on the LCD screen is very usefulwhen looking at power draws from various equipment when it switches on or is under load.It has only ever been tested "in agnger" a few wtimes when we had power cuts, but the device worked flawlesly. The pwoer was never out long enough to invoke a shutdown scenario, but the included software reported the incidents as it should and works well.It is a shame that the rack mounted equivalent is so much more expensive for essentially the same device but in a different format. So I went for the floor standing version and it sits on a shelf alongside its additional battery at the bottom of a 19" rack.pros:compactinformative lcd and softwaremultiple connectivity optionscons:rack mount version is expensive for the same product in a different format.

Failed to keep power on when tested and poor battery performance
Two main issues.1. I got it set up with a 5% load to test it before connecting to my NAS devices. Initially it said the battery was 100% charged but that clearly wasn't correct. I dropped the input power and the "time remaining" very rapidly dropped from 200 minutes to 55 and then dropped slowly. After an overnight charge it still didn't seem that the battery was fully charged because removing the input power again started with "time remaining" of 584 minutes and that dropped to 90 minutes very quickly. So it still wasn't fully charged.2. I tested it close to empty and when the display showed 2 minutes left I reconnected the input power - but after a few seconds the UPS dropped the load. Not what you would want to happen - you have just got power back within time but the UPS removes the "un" and becomes "interuptable".
