It's really tough period in winter for my backyard chickens in the free-range.The purchase of 5.5 lb X 2 bags of dried meal worms was in its self a great value compared to other brands. I use the meal worm as treats and to train my chickens when it's time to come in from foraging. They have all learned that at approx. 1 hour before the sun goes down that if they are in the pen for the night they get a couple of hand full's of meal worms. I have also found that during molting, mealworms appear to boost eggs production up and shorten the molting period.My girls think they're desperate and even went to paradise! Now that they know I have these candy treats, they come running to me every time - just hoping and praying there’s more!! Like cheese puffs, but tastier - even my Garfield eats them, that appears tasteful.It's been approx. a half of month, don't say much, "clean” and “fresh” appearance, these worms appear more substantial than other brands, resealable bag, they were a pretty golden color - almost looked alive, plump for dried mealy worms, super value with consistent, happy results, great treats for poultry! Our chickens love these mealworms. Delivery to our porch was speedy and easy.Now I've got the satisfactory results, the reasons why I've got the excellent nutritional eggs, my ladies gain the health, I can make the eggs benedict for my husband, who often doesn't eat breakfast due to working, and have a serious stomach in a long while, but his stomach trouble was much better than before since I started making the delicious and nutritious meal, all situations appear to have improved better than my expectation.Let's look at my achievements I gained, I highly recommend this brand with no hesitation, you'll get too many unexpected bonuses since then.If situation changes, I will update accordingly, lol.

I can''t afford expensive treats. But I know how to buy values that are safe for the animals. This is by far the BEST purchase for my chickens that I've found. The mealworms are packaged in large, re-sealable bags and they’re not vacuum-packed so they aren’t crushed to powder. The smell isn't bad, which I consider a "plus" .The Eggcellent Mealworms I’ve purchased have seemed, clean, fresh and well-dried. They have a pleasant, earthy, roasted smell. They’ve arrived quickly next day delivery. I find the cost to be effective and as good as or often better than what I can find in local big box stores or feed supply stores. It’s also nice to have them “always available,” as I’ve gone to stores sometimes and they’ve been out of mealworms.Having a choice of sizes is also a plus. I’ve found that local sto res usually offer very small packages at very high prices. I absoluely will be buying from Eggcellent Mealworms again. 🤗

My chickens are free range. They literally sleep in the trees at night. Never fails when they hear the rattling of the plastic bag they come from out of the woods to the bag. I hardly even feed them in the same spot just to watch them come running like the dogs for a biscuit!My chickens live for this delicious treat. If you give too many they can get the runs. But a handful is good and nutritious.I always buy 2 Premium bags as STANDBY for our chickens and birds. I used to spend a lot of money on live meal worms, but I find the birds are accepting of the dried mealworms as well. They attract the Bluebirds and are helpful in this cold winter since there aren’t many insects. Other birds love them too. Strangely, our dog comes running and wants to eat them when we hand them out to the chickens!!Nice package in resealable, when the yummy worms arrived they were not crushed at all.No complaints from my flock, superior quality, whole intact!! A great bunch for your $$$! you deserved it!!That’s best treats I always think, chickens love it definately, I will update after 2 PREMIUM bags eaten out.Delivery was also very fast considering it was during the x-mas holiday.

The media could not be loaded.  This bag is resealable which is very convenient. Our ducks seemed to really like this new treat. We sprinkled some in their pool and the meal worms float, making it a fun game for them to race each other to eat them all up. My kids love using these to help the ducks enjoy our presence more by associating us with rewarding yummy food. We also hide some in piles of mowed grass or other greens for a foraging experience. You can also add them to a treat ball for the ducks or chickens to roll around and a few fall out while they play. Overall a good value and seem to be a good quality. Great for wild birds and parrots too.

As soon as they get a glimpse of the bag all your feathered friends will be running towards you. But in the stampede the older ones will trample the younger ones to get the delicious mealworms. That’s why it is a great choice to get the 5.5 lb bag so there is plenty to go around even the last ones to arrive will get some. Shipping is pretty quick I live in Hawaii and it came in within 3-4 days.

My hens really like the Eggcellent mealworms and when they hear me pick up the bag they come running! They are a great quality product and Non-GMO which is better for my hens. They aren’t laying yet, but I’m sure the protein will help with egg production!
