Amazing Arm Cast of Air
I have struggled for months with my arm. Over time it has become painful to use a computer mouse, type on a keyboard and eventually perform activities with my arm. I visited my physician who provided me with a Pneumatic Aircast Tennis Elbow Support.Although the doctor explained how to wear it, he did not explain what caused my problem (I no longer play tennis). After careful research, I found that there are several important muscles that run from the hand to the upper arm and shoulder. Three are especially important for me:The Extensor carpus radialis longus which attaches to the index finger and "controls bending of the wrist towards the thumb as well as bending the wrist back";The Extensor carpi radialis brevis which attaches to the middle finger and also "controls the raising of the wrist";The Extensor carpi ulnarus which attaches to the 5th finger and is used to "cock the wrist outwards, for example reaching for a far away key on a keyboard".These three muscles run along the thumb side of the forearm. Strain on these muscles can effect use of the hand and shoulder. Under strain the result is pain.To relieve the problem, I place the pneumatic air cell directly on the three muscles and pull the strap tight. The pressure somehow relieves strain on those muscles and temporarily solves the problem. With the brace in place I am able to use my arm again.I found this cast on Amazon. It is the same product that I obtained at the doctors office, but is much cheaper online. I bought a second one as a backup. I highly recommend this product.

No stretch = no painkillers needed
This brace allowed me to go from constantly popping painkillers to needing none at all. I've tried a couple other braces, but I think the reason this works so well for me is that the material does not stretch. The support is firm, and while it seems cheaply made, it's comfortable and effective. Strenuous activity wasn't the cause of my tendonitis - apparently it's the strain of my hand position from using a keyboard and mouse eight hours a day - but this brace allows me to practice yoga with no discomfort. I'm not sure how it would hold up to heavier, more active use.I haven't had any problems with the air cell leaking or deflating like other reviews have mentioned, but I can see how easily it might happen. If there were somewhere to get replacement air cells, I'd probably buy an extra to have on hand just in case.

Great brace
As an avid racquetball player, I like this brace more than any other type I have purchased over the course of 20 years. I have replaced this type of brace at least twice after it wore out over the years. It is comfortable and does absorb shock to the forearm. I suggest you purchase this to help prevent tennis elbow (tendonitis) because once you get it, it is very painful and takes a long time and lots of rest to heal. Once you get tendonitis, this brace will help lessen the pain some, but prevention is the key. Keep a firm grip on your racquet and wear this brace. Racquetball buddies of mine wear this same brace and also like it very much.

Uncomfortable and unhelpful
This brace LOOKS like one I had long ago, but it doesn't FUNCTION like the old one at all. If it's tight enough to stay in place under winter clothing, it cuts off circulation. When worn with normal pressure that's enough to relieve tennis elbow pain, it slips and slides around under a jacket as you play. Eventually, it ended completely upside down and lower down my arm than where I had applied it originally. No way could I wear it over clothing. It needs to go next to the skin to work right. The air pillow falls out easily and then the place reserved for it shuts itself down completely with very strong velcro making it very difficult to put the pillow back in. Certainly it's not do-able during any athletic competition when you have very limited time between points/games/sets. It's not apparent why that spot would be velcro since the velcro has no effect when the pillow is in place, unless some people use it without the pillow? In the end when it fell apart a half hour into a match, I had to just toss it all in my bag and move on.As many other reviewers note, it has a strange plastic flange that seems to serve no purpose other than to irritate and pinch the skin when you tighten down the brace. Possibly that plastic piece contributed to the slipping and sliding.

Works well when only when the bubble doesn't deflate!
The plastic bubble for shock absorption leaks after just a month or so. The item loses its efficacy very soon
