Great print quality!
Canon is a brand I always trust when it comes to printing, these cartridges are exceptional quality and I can definitely tell the difference if I was to use a refill ink cartridge.The XL cartridges come in handy as they print over 600 pages of A4 print approx. at normal printing quality, if you use draft settings on your printer you will obviously get a lot more than the suggested amount. I tend to notice that they last longer that’s me personally. I think they’re good value for money also, as I really do rate the quality of the print - I have always used the original ink in the printer, I’ve owned it for so long and it prints really well.This ink just seems to work so much better than cheap inks!

Better quality than generic brands but you pay for it!
Why is printer ink so expensive? I've made the mistake of buying 3rd party inks before and they are never as good as the real Canon ones. These would get five stars, as the ink is a really deep black and seems sharper than non-genuine ones, but they are just ridiculously priced. It seems Canon are so busy selling cheap printers that they need to make all their money on the ink. Definitely buy this XL version rather than the other size though.

You get what you pay for
Have always used the branded ink cartridges, but tried unbranded pair. Unfortunately, they ran out quickly, even though there seemed to be ink left in the cartridges.So back to the Canon branded. Whilst they are expensive, and they have about 25-30% left after the low indictor, they last twice as long.It's still frustrating they are so expensive, but yoiu know what you are getting. I always use XL, the standard pack do not last very long at all.

Very expensive and excess packaging
Canon original ink is incredibly expensive compared to quality unbranded alternatives but they keep manipulating drivers to reject alternatives. Also, the hard plastic packaging is extremely sharp when cut and not recyclable...
