Review: Amazing product - I've only had this raw chicory for a week, but I've already had success with using it for: - an alternative to chicken . I boil a pot of the tea down to add to my seitan. No other flavorings are necessary other than salt. - an alternative to butter - I heated the roots in oil at low temperature after filtering out any powder, so I could filter it out of the oil - I make something like chicken broth by only adding salt
Review: Chicory - Love this product - I add a scoop to my coffee while brewing. Doesn’t affect the taste. Beneficial, in my opinion, especially if you have high blood pressure.

**Q: Everybody is saying this is roasted, if it is roasted then it can not be raw!!! And one review said it was stems not roots?**
A: Hello this particular product is Chicory Root RAW cut and sifted so you are correct. They do make a similar product that is Chicory root roasted granules, perhaps this is what they are referring to. Hope this helps.

**Q: Do i have to roast it and grind it myself?**
A: It's already roasted. I don't know if it has been ground, but it has been processed in a way that makes it ready to use. I use it the same way I would use loose tea. One teaspoon makes a very good tasting cup.

**Q: how do you eat it? what does it taste like?  can you add it in smoothie and blend it?**
A: It's been awhile, but as I remember, when it's fresh it has a mild flavor and was a nice little snack to chew on. Otherwise, I did put it in my Vitamix with other things and I also put it in with other herbs to make tea. My girlfriend liked to eat it. Hope that helps.

**Q: Anybody found a good way to grind it? I've tried it in a coffee/spice grinder and blender. The former is better, but still doesn't come out fine.**
A: I steep it like tea, it works great and taste great too.
