He needed a good case that protects against drops, water, and dirt. There is a cover over the charging port to keep debris and dirt out of it. So far it has worked great I have had no real problems with the case part, the only issue I have found is that the screen protector scratches easily and is very hard to clean. Also, I can't reach the edges of my phone's screen very well especially when my nails get past a certain length. Long nails are not recommended.
