This book was stated that it was used, but in good condition. The sellers were right, the book was in excellent condition and looked brand new. Shipped pretty fast. I would definately buy from them again. This book was worth it and was definately what I was looking for. The quizzes after each chapter is very helpful and there's even a section with definitions, which is nice to have. Great book for beginners in CT!

A little bit to much can confuse you ,however it help to resolve some issues I didn't understand. Would use another book to study along with.

Helped me pass my exam

I PASSED MY REGISTRY SO I GUESS IT WORKED. LOVE BUSHONG SINCE I TOOK HIS COURSE IN RAD SCHOOL IN HOUSTON. HE IS VERY SMART BUT SOMETIMES CAN BE A LITTLE OVER MY HEAD. STILL A GREAT BOOK TO STUDY FROM.

I am taking a CT cert class in prep for the registry. This book is one of the required readings. I wish it wasn't. It is complete garbage. It contradicts itself MANY times through especially in the post chapter questions. If this wasn't required I would send it back. There are other books out there that will serve you WAY better than this. Look those up instead.

I am currently studying for the CT registry. I purchased this book and began reading it. The chapter on the physics and the CT contrast just did not seem right. The allergies and the contraindications for contrast seemed really outdated and the physics and design of the machine did not match the machine that I use. I flipped open the front of the book and the copyright date is 2000. Well in the world of CT that is light years from the present day. Some of the material is ok but for the most part the book is outdated and I did not trust the information in it to be accurate. I will put it in the recycle pile and use the other book that I bought. What a disappointment. Bushong is a great source but needs to update this book.

This book is very concise and aim for someone who already has some background knowledge on the subject. It is written in bullet point format with no explanation or calculation. Good for jogging your memory or as a quick reference. It is disappointing that the author did not use the new SI unit(Gy) in the chapter on Radiation Safety. The use of rads should be discouraged to avoid confusion !
