I was excited to receive these. I have one Tturkish bath towel, which I love, so I ordered more of those and these smaller towels to use has hand towels or tea towels. They looked ok when they arrived, and I threw them in the wash along with the bath towel and a few other items. I washed them on cold, (with no fabric softener). The bath towel has been washed several times and is fine. After the first wash these small towels were like rags, and the fringe was a mess! It was all tangled and knotted up. I am returning. Beware. Check out what the fringe is like when you order Turkish towels. Twisted and knotted securely is a must. Loose fringe just tangles!

(SET of 8) Turkish Cotton Hand Face Head Guest Towels (my color choice: White).These are so interesting, textural, & elegant!It does take 5 machine wash /dry cycles, before they start to soften up & become characteristically cotton-absorbent, so don't give up on them after only several laundering. Just wash 1st, (no bleach!), use normally, remember to avoid fabric softener (which coats cotton & makes it less absorbent); Continue using / washing normally, & eventually, they'll be much more absorbent than they were at 1st :b. (To protect the fringes & try to prevent them from unraveling, I wash on gentle cycle. Not delicates, just the slower / mid-range agitation.) Remember, Turkish Peshtemels are *much* thinner than traditional U.S. towels! I'm very adaptable, but if you already know that you're not, these may take some getting used to.I absolutely LUV these hand / face towels. I read a prior review where a woman enjoys using these as kitchen towels... What a great idea! I bought all white for our bathrooms- which is perfect- However, knowing how I completely abuse & stain my kitchen towels (food & olive oil & tomato based soups +++) , personally, I would instead choose a deep, vivid color for kitchen use. I am concerned how "white" will hold up over time, but we've owned & used these multiple times every day, for many months, & they still look brand new!Gorgeous, bono chic, worldly, classic & elegant where ever / however they land on a hang hook, space-saving, functional, fast drying... Transformative decor! :bDimensions: After multiple washer/dryer cycles, each towel measures a generous 24 X 33" ( Not including fringe). These are the hand / face sized towels. They'll easily cover & dry an infant :D We also own, use daily, & proudly display, the much larger sized bath / beach / tablecloth / wrap / all purpose peshtemels ! BUY !!!

Whatever negative reviews this brand has are simply untrue or the reviewers did not follow how to wash and dry Turkish towels! I needed to wash them only twice in Cold water, no softener, and dried on Ultra Low setting. Now that we have had them for a few months I am happy to report they only get better! I am not always good at writing reviews because I stay too busy to remember to do it. Yet, I felt this one was important because all Turkish towels are not the same! Some of the Turkish towels never get really absorbent despite following the instructions to the letter. These are great and you can feel confident about purchasing them.

Original size is about 34 inches by 16 inches. After washing on warm and drying the towel shrunk to 24 inches by 13 inches.

So pretty, super absorbent and overall I love these - get lots of compliments from guests in my home. We keep these in all the bathrooms - they add a nice pop of color but the grey-scale version is also so classic and would go nicely with any decor - they really have a luxurious look and feel over regular bathroom hand towels. Buy one pack for yourself and another for a friend because these make gorgeous housewarming/hostess gifts that you'll feel good sharing with a friend (wrap a bottle of wine in it or gift a 2-pack for example along with a cool soap or gadget set for example). I have also used for hot Yoga - they're extremely absorbent and work awesome for mopping up sweat (while still looking pretty)

These are not genuine Turkish cotton...I washed them several times when I first received them as real Turkish cotton gets softer and more absorbent with each wash. The gray towels immediately discolored and the fabric puckered/shriveled (see photos). The black towels continued to leave lint and fuzz on my hands (photo #2) no matter how many times I washed them--I can tell the black towels are not cotton at all as they feel very synthetic to the touch. I washed these towels by themselves on gentle cycle, didn't use bleach or fabric softener and tumble dried on low. I have other genuine Turkish towels, and these are fakes. Very disappointed.

This was my first purchase of Turkish towels and I really liked them so I purchased two more sets from this seller. These are the diamond-weave towels and are really absorbent. I also bought a single towel from a different vendor but that one was herringbone weave and thicker, it also was not nearly as absorbent as these. I haven't had any issues with tangled up fringe or shrinking as some others seem to have had. I just followed the washing instructions that came with them and they have held up great so far.

These towels are great! Soft, absorbent, beautiful and useful in the kitchen, bath or sewn into a pillow. Can't wait to order more!

Over $8 per dish towel and it piled after first wash - didn't even put in dryer.... Regret purchase.
