Arrived quickly. Sharp scissors. Perfect for home haircuts in lockdown.
Good quality hair cutting set. Safe for use on kids but also good for cutting mum and dad's hair too.We bought these to do "lockdown haircuts" for the whole family. They've been really great so far.If you're doing home haircuts, I advise the following:-- Watch plenty of YouTube videos about cutting the style you want- Learn how to hold the comb between your hand and thumb when you don't need it so that you can hold hair between your fingers in one hand and cut with the scissors in the other without needing to constantly juggle the comb around- Don't trim off lots! Just take of a centimetre or so to start with until you decide you can live with it- Keep some plasters handy just in case you nip your fingers - these scissors are very sharp!- Put some kind of plastic/nylon shroud over your kids/partners shoulders to keep the hair off their clothes. It's no good using a towel as their hair will still be in it weeks later.

Super helpful for a novice hairdresser mum during lockdown
Bought this to curb the hair of my 21 month old son who has needed four haircuts during lockdown. I only use one pair of scissors and a comb from the set but they work well. The scissors are comfortable and the comb is sturdy enough. Quality is more than adequate for what I need.

Not ready to abandon the hairdresser altogether yet
Buddy’s Daddy did a brave thing and agreed to cut his mummy’s hair during lockdown 2.0. After a short period of research, during which we discovered that professional hairdressers might pay up to £250 for a decent pair of shears, we decided not to buy the dirt dirt cheap set i.e around £11 and opted for this which was slightly more expensive, but still costs less than the price of a haircut with my usual stylist. It seems that the shears are only as good as the hands of the operator. Because I have shoulder length wavy hair it’s not an unmitigated or irredeemable disaster. We picked a set with thinning shears included just in case it was beyond daddy’s skill to cut the hair in a straight line. Unfortunately neither of us can really work out how to use them so they haven’t been a major success so far. In short, it’s very hard to write an accurate review for tools you don’t really know how to use but it seems unfair to give them a low rating because of our ineptitude. The pros of this set: the scissors are very sharp (evidenced by us having a discussion about how sharp they were, deciding to sharpen them, and me slicing my finger by pressing on the blade - not drawing my finger across the blade, just pressing on it). It is reasonably priced - probably less than most people would pay for one cut.The cons: the plastic clips and tonsure comb included are cheap. They are no instructions/ handy hints and tips for amateur users (obvs you can find stuff on the internet but some of the advice is conflicting so a few pointers would be useful).Add to this that when I bought the set I didn’t really see that it was labelled as a kit for baby hair - not sure if this makes any difference whatsoever - and that it turns out that they work much much better on dry hair rather than wet. Brave daddy is going to have another go in a few weeks when I’m starting to look like Wurzel Gummidge once again with hopefully slightly better results. Overall these are not going to replace my regular trips to the hairdresser when it reopens, but I think they will suffice in a situation such as these crazy times have produced

Perfect hair cutting set
Perfect little set for home cutting. Especially when there are kids involved. The scissors are rounded off no sharp ends to cut the children.
