This DVD tries to tell the story of a wonderful woman and her struggle to find peace in God in her faith and life. When compared to Ann and Jeanette Petrie's stunning 1986 film Mother Teresa it really pales and presents a very paltry and insipid image of her. The title of the current DVD is really a misnomer, While it was supposed to be about the letters of Mother Teresa it does not capture the spirit of them so it would be better you read them in "Come be my light". What was enlightening was the following up across the continents of acquiring of them but I would have expected more of their content to be portrayed. The film does bring out her faith in practice, and she lives her love of Christ and finding Christ in those she served but is scant on the full spirit of the letters - the 2010 German produced docufilm of Maria Magdalena Koller for MR Film/ORF "Mother Teresa: Saint of Darkness" captures the story somewhat better and is more natural and real than the more "pious" style of "Letters From Mother Teresa." At the same time, it brings out different aspects than the others so while I would encourage it to be watched, I would also encourage people to view the other two films and read "Come be my light" to truly encounter the hope and faith that comes from the story of this "Saint of Darkness".

Great film
Personally I think this is an important film. I love Mother Teresa and have read many books about her. This film/documentary style brings to life the reality of the hard life she lived and loved being so dedicated to her work. If you want to see the beauty of selflessness in action I recommend this film. Very absorbing.

A very good documentray
A fascinating look back at the life of Mother Teresa, as she is being considered for sainthood. Such a famous person it's surprising that there aren't more documentaries about her. This has a very good central performance from Juliet Stevenson
