Now that school is back to school during Covid, students cannot walk around or sit on the rug in a group. This doc camera is a perfect way to share with the entire class.

I used this for about a month. One of the days the auto focus went a little crazy and it wouldn't focus, it just kept going back and forth. It only did it one time. The light isn't substantial enough to make a difference. It is probably the most sturdy of the doc cams out there so if you bump the table it doesn't move or shake. It shows a full picture book with both pages so that's nice. I ended up returning and I got a cheaper doc cam because as a teacher just having the extra $40 lets me get more books or materials for my class. I used it with a MacBook and to hook it up use and adaptor to plug into the USB-C, select Quicktime and select New Movie, and you'll select the doc cam. It works with Google Meet, no problem. I didn't download the software.

I've been using this camera for my online classes and it has worked just perfectly.

I'm going to return this. Even after giving permission to my computer to download the program, my mac does not trust the software and it won't work. There is no on/off button. No directions came with the product. The "user guide" was not useful. I contacted customer support and never got a response. This was a waste of my time and I will not recommend.

I bought this unit on recommendation from a friend. It runs slow as a whole, with quite a bit of lag, throwing videos and sound way out of whack. I haven't created much usable content with this camera as a result. Plus, the picture is often muddled and lacks subtlety. It darkens everything until it looks like mud.

I bought this camera as a cheaper alternative to the out-of-stock one that I was looking for.The Joy-DocCam hooked up to my computer and seems to read the trading cards fine. However, it didn't speak to my scanning software correctly. We had to buy the more expensive camera anyway.The Joy-DocCam does work with the same software when we connect to a laptop at home. Maybe it's the fluorescent bulbs at the shop messing it up.4/5 stars for working, just not where I need it to.
