These hold up great they are thick and durable. The price is cheaper than you will find at Home Depot. I have mine holding up a 1 1/2 inch thick 71”x42 inch board and it looks great.

I'm putting up shelves around my bed for my books, and so far, the first shelf is holding nicely with these brackets. They seem pretty sturdy and were easy to install with the screws and anchors that came with it. I measured out where i wanted the brackets on the board and then screwed them to it. I then held it against the wall and used a level to make sure it was level, then put a screw in the middle bracket to hold it level while i marked the rest of the screw holes. I did this all by myself, but it would've been a lot easier to do with two people. I plan to buy more and put up more shelves

The shelves are thick and sturdy. They look great above a long window. The spacing for the shelf board is 11-3/8” so it is not a standard shelf board.I had to take the shelf brackets to the bench vise to bend them so all the bend angles were the same but it was not much and took a few minutes.The self screwing wall anchors are JUNK! It shattered while I was screwing into a predrilled hole. Go buy a good wall anchor at the hardware store and save some trouble for yourself. I was missing a long screw but I have plenty to replace it.

I have 12x12 shelves. My cats tend to jump on them from time to time and they weigh too much for the small brackets. I got these. The description clearly states that they are not 12-inch. From the outside to the outside, they are 12 inches. But, the metal is thick, which is good. So, I used a router to cut about a quarter inch gap on the back of the shelves. I anchored these brackets in and screwed the shelves to them. Because they are so sturdy now, the cats not only jump up on the shelves. They hop up and perch, surveying their territory. All toghether, these brackets are holding up over 15 pounds without budging. So, for a normal shelf, they are more than strong enough. I feel the wall would give before the brackets do.

These brackets are heavy-duty and look great.

I hung bookshelves in our front closet! They're beautiful. I used 2 left over to hang a keyboard piano! They're great.

Note that if you are using more than one packet of brackets in a single long shelf, the screw holes on the row of brackets may not all exactly align. The brackets themselves work well and look great.
