This liftgate support works fine. I am able to use my power open and close liftgate again on my RX330. Install was simple, however in my case I did not realize I did not need the brackets that these come with. So the product itself did its job. But if you do not need to replace your brackets, save yourself some money and buy supports that do not come with them as these did cost more vs other supports that I saw on Amazon that come without the brackets.

Sometimes it's just not simply the product, but the vendor makes the transaction and business great, that is the case here. I purchased the replacement hatch supports for my 2005 Lexus RX 330 because Lift Supports Depot had the best price on the Lexus OEM-style supports (Lexus choose to integrate the attachment brackets with struts which is a pain because nearly everyone offers only the replacement struts that fit over the ball, secured with a spring clip. The replacement struts from Lift Supports Depot arrived quickly and I installed them easily since the Lexus-compatible brackets came with the replacement struts. The replacement struts work fine, enabling the hatch open again automatically. I noticed a few days later though that the hatch wouldn't close on hot afternoons. I e-mailed Lift Supports Depot about the issue. Lou immediately responded with a diagnosis of the issue and shipped out a new pair of struts which he had checked prior to shipping. I installed the replacement struts which was an easy task since Lift Supports Depot Lexus replacements attach with a spring clip (unlike the original Lexus struts) and they have worked perfectly ever since. Sometimes, things don't work out the first try, but Lift Support Depot was there and responsive to fix the issue. An excellent online company; they also provide excellent installation videos for replacing your hatch struts as well. Great company with quality products and responsive support!

This fits perfectly well for my 2004 Lexus RX 330. Had to get a detail person to come help replace as he has the proper tools to do so. This works perfectly well like a new car. Strongly encourage you to press the button instead of closing the trunk door manually. If you close the trunk door manually, this could cause pressure to the shock absorber.

Great replacement. While it comes with brackets, it fits the original ball pins so I used a little of my thick bike poly-lube to make the install on the original pins work well...I was worried these struts wouldn't get the job done because I put off doing this job for over a year. I thought the motor would have been shot by now, however upon install it opened and closed on first go!10/10 would recommend.Be sure to put a ladder under the lift gate when doing this job so the lift gate does not smash down on you when you remove the struts...

These were easy to install. I found it easier when I removed the clip on the top strut on my old set. That way you have better access to the bolts that hold the strut bracket. Doing it this way allows easier access to the bolts on the bottom bracket as well. When installing the struts slide the clip off the top of the strut up a little and you can disengage the ball from the socket. Try not to pop the clip all the way off (its a little harder to get on if you do). Install the top mount (disconnected) then install the bottom mount (you can swivel the strut out of the way while you tighten it down. Then pop the top socket onto the ball and slip the clip over it. Give it a light tug to make sure it has engaged and won't pop off. Install the struts one at a time and I used a helper to hold the liftgate open. Be sure to pay attention to the orientation of the brackets (or look over at the OEM one that is still installed if you do them one at a time). The instructions say that you may have to give the strut a slight twist to break it free initially. These have restored the ability for my car's liftgate to open and close using the power liftgate feature. I'll update this review if I encounter trouble with them.

I needed to replace the struts on my 2004 Lexus RX330 and didn't realize that the factory installed struts could not be removed from the bracket. Thankfully I found these struts that come with the brackets installed. The bonus is that if these struts wear out, they have the C-clamps that allow for removal and replacement without removing the mounts. These struts have plenty of strength to quickly open that hatch and hold it in place even on below freezing mornings.

Arrived quickly. Well packaged. Fit correctly without issues. They resolved the problem we were having with rear hatch opening/closing. Can't comment on durability yet. The OEM items lasted 17 years so I guess that will be the benchmark.

Easy to install

Worked perfectly. Bought our Lexus RX330 used and had to replace the lift supports after a year of owning the RX. The new ones are way better than the ones that were on the car as long as we've owned it. Will by again if ever necessary. Arrived in a timely manner.

Easy to install, and fixed the problem I was having with my liftgate only working sporatically. And what's not to love about a lifetime warranty! :-)
