G.B.S Pack of 50 Extremely Sharp Blades

First of all, I “assumed” I was getting all Merkur blades and I was not a happy camper until I read the description that I DID NOT do which means that’s on me, not the seller! So stop bagging on the seller!Next... You are getting Merkur blades with a collection of the best blades made for a price The is cheaper than if you bought them anywhere else! And what wet shaver doesn’t switch out blades on a regular basis? All wet shavers know that a mans face adapts to a blade and stops shaving we’ll for awhile (except the venerable Gillette super stainless “Spoiler” blade they stopped making in 1989: This is a good deal!I like a small variety pack on hand for that very reason and this is a great selection at a great price! Also happy to see Derby quit selling those dull platinum blades from the start of the wet shaving craze (doesn’t apply to me; been using double edge since 1968 and never changed). Now their multi-coated blades compete with Wilkinson Sword and are great, used one this afternoon and loved how they glide. Best platinum is still Astra imho. And two Feather packs; sharpest blade on the market and smooth.I’m happy with my mistake and will in fact buy from this seller again!

Okay, I too thought I had ordered strictly Merkur Solingen blades. I love my Merkur razor and have been using the original blades. But I must support the vendor here, if you swipe across the photos, there are the other blades.Looking further, the seeker does accept returns. Thus, you get my thanks and a positive review!Looking forward to comparing the different offerings. Looks like the Astra are Russian, Dorco is a well known Korean maker (isn't this "Dollar Shave Club"?), and the Feather I haven't looked closely at as yet.Thanks for the surprise, though that wasn't entirely your fault, hehe. Will let you know how I find these blades in comparison.

I ordered this item thinking it was Merkur blades. It turned out to be a variety pack.The pack includes 1 box of Merkur, 2 boxes of Astra, 2 Boxes of Feather Hi Stainless 2 boxes of Derby and 1 Dorco HQNow I have been shaving with a safety razor for about 10 years, I have found through trial and error that Merkur blades are very well made. However I decided instead of sending this pack back I would just give them a try once again. Every shave with the Feather, Derby or the Dorco are quite possibly going to leave you bloody, at very least with serious razor burn.The Astra have given me as close a shave, without the razor burn or nicks that i normally recieve with Merkur blades.By the way, I have been shaving with a Double Edge Safety razor for nearly 15 years, I am old enough that my first razor was a Gillette twin blade, I celebrated our country's 200th birthday, and remember Billy Beer (I wasn't quite old enough to drink it though).

I purchased this blade "variety pack" even after reading all the negative reviews and i'm content with them.I chose this pack after doing some research and found these particular blades to be some of the better quality blades. since i just purchased my first single blade safety razor, i wanted to do a little experimenting to find the blades that suite me. I have only made it through two of them but so far they are great.In my case, there were no substitutions but they do warn that it is possible.

I own a Merkur DE safety razor and had been using the Merkur blades since the beginning. However, after reading about others, I wanted to try out some different blades. This pack fit the bill and I've discovered a couple of other brands and their different qualities. To each their own, if you want to try out different blades, grab this pack. You can come back to Amazon and pick up a huge pack of your favorites once you have a preference.

I purchased the Shaving Revolution Platinum Series Japanese Stainless Steel Double Edge Razor Blades for my husband and he was extremely pleased.

Not a good deal. The "if we run out, we'll substitute" clause in the description was invoked in my case. They seem to have run out of the Merkur blades and swapped some Gillettes in their place. Everything else promised did come. The missing Merkurs skewed the value proposition and made this a bad deal. If they have what they say they have in stock and ship it to you, this isn't a bad price for a high end blade sampler. When one of the highest end blades gets swapped for middle range stuff, the value proposition plummets. I asked what they had in stock, and they said they weren't substituting anything... but in my order they did. The description lets them do that... but know that what you're going to get is an known unknown.

Not impressed with the many unknown brands we received. Prefer the German made ones the most.
