If someone told me years ago that I might need a lightning extension cable someday, I would have laughed at them. After all, wouldn’t it be easier to buy a longer charging cable?It wasn’t until I purchased my hdmi to lightning adapter that I realize how useful a lightning extension cable can be. Connecting this cable to my adapter allows for my phone to be clear of the bulky adapter making it easier to mount in the car.

It works!!!! I bought this to extend my Audi phone connection located in the glove compartment of the car and was skeptical as to whether or not this would work especially based on the price point, but I am happy to report it worked great. All data for the songs played are displayed accurately as they were without the cable and the controls continue to function as well. Only wish they made a slightly longer cable.

The extension work fine, but the female side of the cable is a little loose, it does the job for what I needed for. I used it with my charger, lightning to av adapter, and usb org adapter. It did what is supposed to.

I use this to connect a iRig Pro Duo to an iPad. The iRig cable isn't long enough for my application, and this does the trick and looks to me made very well.

I am using this to power an iPhone 13 Pro. The mail end does not fit snugly into the lightning port and is easily displaced from secure connection by a slight torsion of the wire. The result is no charging of the phone. It is impossible to use the phone while charging with this cable because the connection is so tenuous.

I ordered this for my 2012 Hyundai Genesis which uses a 30-Pin iPod to Lightning adapter for the Auxiliary connection. The car's infotainment system only accepts Apple's official adapter, which with a case and short length, makes it hard for the connector to stay in place. This solved my problem.

Like some of the other purchasers, I needed to extend an Apple 30 pin to Lightning adapter in my wife's car so it would fit her new iPhone case. The MeloAudio extension cable does work for that; power and audio pass through to the car as expected. It's part from perfect though. The cable's female port is quite loose and anything plugged into it easily pops out with the slightest tension. To keep a connection to the Apple adapter, I ended up using electrical tape. Not an ideal solution, but the price of this cable is helping me overlook that. I'm hoping the MeloAudio extension cable lasts a bit longer than those of some other reviewers. Time will tell.

I purchased the item because I have to sleep with a fan type noise and a change in my phone did not allow me to use my system are used to plug into. Now with this cord I can sleep good again. thank you
