This pet-safe ice melt is the best. We have purchased many different types in the past that did not work. We came across this brand and thought we would try it. It provides a non-slip coating immediately. Did not take long for the ice to melt. Our second order came very quickly, as did our first purchase of this ice-melt, from this vendor and it was in perfect conditon! Thank you very much!

It did *not* melt well, but it did well enough. I'd rather use an ice melter safe for the dogs and have to use more or use it more often than have to try to walk around harmful salt.However, it was safe for our dogs! The dogs' feet did not appear to hurt after walking on this. They did not get sick from it being on their paws and fur either.It did clump really badly. Nothing a small hammer can't fix! Again, I'd rather take the extra step of breaking up some clumps than dealing with hurt dogs.We have bought a brand from Walmart that was pet safe and melted ice better. I don't know the brand name. But, I bought this in desperation during a major winter storm and it was at a reasonable price at the time.I gave give it four stars because it is in fact pet safe. At least it didn't hurt our dogs. So it lived up to its primary claim for us.I'm not sure if I'd buy it again unless it was on sale. It does take a lot to melt the snow/ice and it was only in the 20s.We used it on public sidewalks and an asphalt parking lot we park on so I'm not sure how much it damaged anything. That wasn't a main concern at the time.Anyway. Buy this if you absolutely need something pet safe. Look elsewhere if you don't want to use a lot at once and take an extra step to break it up.

We had a terrible winter this year. Part way through the snowy season, no local stores had any salt. I needed salt that was safe for our Old English Sheepdog. I researched various kinds of salt and this product was highly recommended. I was able to purchase 4 bags.

Easy to use. Flake design doesn't last as long or as effective for melting as the granules. Better fir health of dogs

This is the only salt we use. Having dogs, we worry about accidental poisoning from the regular ice melt. It works great! I sacrifice nothing because it works so well and it gives me peace of mind knowing it's dog safe. Definitely recommend.
