Purchased this eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener after being completely frustrated with all the standard remotes for my older Craftsman door opener. Pushing, pushing, pushing the open button on the standard remote is like gambling; occasionally it works but usually not. The eKyro unit was very easy to install on the motor unit and setup on my wireless network. I screwed a small plastic plate to my opener and mounted the eKyro receiver with double-sided tape so the antenna would be unimpeded and pointed right at my wireless router. Wiring it to the older opener was easy; it uses the same terminals as the manual buttons and the response is just as fast. Using the manual terminals also makes it compatible, reliable, no delay, every time, no more remote roulette. The door open/closed sensor adds a safety factor to this older opener. I can check the status from my phone and there is a feature to alert me if the door has been open for an extended time. The SmartLife app (Android) is easy to use and does the job...but LOTS of ads and wasted display space (app only gets 4 stars). Connecting the app (phone) to the opener was quick and there is almost no delay when opening/closing the garage door. Overall, the eKyro Smart Garage Door Opener solved my problems. Recommend. After using this opener for a while I also purchased a 4-pack of the eKyro smart plugs that I now use to control an attic fan and various fans and lights in the house. Controlling everything from my phone is very convenient and reliable and the various programmable/timer functions make sure I don't forget to turn things off. All the eKyro devices have only been installed for a few months at the time of this review, so can't comment on long term reliability. So far everything works as advertised and I'm pretty satisfied with the function and added convenience. Plus since Smart Life is an app that works with various smart devices, it means that you likely will have multiple uses for it. My garage door opener is a LiftMaster 8500 wall mount. It is an opener that requires the free accessory in order to work. The accessory is basically a remote control that is connected to the eKyro. When you give the command to open/close the door the eKyro simply sends an electrical signal to the remote with triggers your garage door opener. It is very easy to order the accessory on the eKyro site. And the shipping was very fast. I ordered the at the same time as I ordered the opener on Amazon and they arrived within a day of eachother. The opener comes with an instruction book. This device is very easy to set up. And eKyro provides very clear video instructions (easily accessed from a QR code in the instructions book). They provide instructions for adding the device to Smart Life, installing the opener, and creating scenes in Smart Life. Initially the opener was not working for me. Because I could hear the click, I knew it was receiving the signal to open/close. But it wasn't transmitting it to the accessory. After multiple attempts to make a good connection between the opener and accessory, I ended up email eKyro customer support. Their customer support is absolutely stellar. Their response time is super fast. The initial suggestions to trouble shoot did not work. So they quickly offered to send me a replacement opener. That opener arrived very fast. Unfortunately, I had the same issue with it. But, they were able to confirm that they had tested it before sending it and knew that it did work. As I said the issue was with the connection between the opener and the accessory. No matter how I tried, I was not able to make a good connection with the wire connection terminal that came with the accessory. It was a bit odd. But in the end, I ended up using twist wire caps to connect the opener to the accessory and that solved the problem. Now I am able to easily open/close my garage door via voice command to my google home speaker or by tapping the button in my Google Home app, Smart Life app, or on my car's touch screen in CarPlay. I cannot give their customer support enough praise. The response time, patience, and eagerness to help was unexpected and uncommon. If you are in the market for a smart garage door opener, this is the one that you should get!

I love this thing. No more wondering if I closed the garage door. The app tells me whether it is open or closed using the included sensor. And with the app, I can close or open from anywhere. If I needed to let someone into my garage for whatever reason, all I have to do is touch the button on my phone app. Then, I can close it once they are ready to leave. Very easy to install and match to my existing garage door opener. It basically just inserts 2 wires into the same ports on your garage door as the wall mounted switch uses. It's just like pushing the wall button to go up or down, only you could be a thousand miles away.
