very useful
If you're looking at this accessory, you already know what Black + Decker's Matrix system is.This air pump has become one of my favorite and most used accessories in the system. The convenience, portability and ability have made this my pump of choice. The other compressors I have, haven't even been used since I got this pump accessory. Not only does it attach to the cordless tool body, but the corded drill body as well. That makes it excellent for in shop jobs. This is a pump for pressure, not volume. So, If you're looking to fill inflatables, this won't be the pump you'll want. It would do the job but much too slowly. My neighbors have learned that I have this and I am now the guy they seek when they need their car tires inflated. I myself own several bicycles. With inflation pressures from 65 to 110 psi this pump can handle them all. This also has onboard storage for the presta adaptor and sports inflation needle.I think so much of this pump, that I've purchased a second, just incase the one I'm using now, fails.

Great emergency tool and more convienient than the compressor at home for small jobs.
Reasonably priced and very convenient. I've used it to fill up bike tires, and also to fill up somebody's neglected empty doughnut tire after they had a blowout. It got very hot taking that tire from 0 to 30 PSI, so expect to give it several cool off periods if you need to fill up to a higher pressure or with a full size tire and don't want to damage it. This limitation is mentioned in the manual. It's nice and small, and didn't kill the battery of my 20V matrix drill. It's not a full size air compressor, so don't expect that kind of performance, but its way simpler to use in a pinch than a hotdog air compressor with an inverter. I leave it in my truck 100% of the time so I'm always prepared.

For the occasional user, this is an inexpensive option that works beautifully
I spent far too much time looking for a tire pump to easily do a routine (monthly) check and inflation of tires. I just want to make sure the tires on our car aren't too low. Well, there are quite a few options - and so many of them are powered by a car battery. I understand the need of you want to use the inflator for emergencies - but personally, if I have an emergency I'll call AAA. So, I just wanted this thing for the garage.Of course, plugging in to an electrical outlet can be a pain too, since you can run out of cord as you walk around the car. This tools is one of the many I have for my Matrix drill. I was a little shocked that it worked so well - it provided an accurate reading of the pressure and with less than a minute of pumping inflated about 2 psi to bring a tire back to norm. Within a few minutes the car was done, and the battery on my Matrix almost depleted. That's okay - it did the job without cables, painful setup, and rather quickly. For the price, I'm really happy with this discovery. Considering I only expect to use it a few times a year - it's perfect.

Good for smaller applications
I've tried this out on a couple different things. First, I used this on some totally flat golf cart size tires on a commercial mower for a bigger tractor. It took a few minutes to do 2 tires but it worked. The one part of the hose got very hot. The next time I used this was on my bike tires which were flat pretty much as well. This didn't take hardly any time at all. It worked great with no complaints. The last time I tried using this on a car that had minor differences in pressures from what the manufacturer rates. I was unsuccessful. It was taking awhile and I didn't really see results. I used a seperare gauge. I don't know if the gauge works or not, I haven't been paying attention to it too much because I went for feel on the other tires. It was night time when I tried this on the car and used an illuminated digital gauge. I think this works pretty good for smaller tires. Probably would work good for inflating basketballs and such too. In a pinch this will work for a car, but not overly impressed.

It worked fine, but with two provisos
I used this to successfully bring my car tires up to pressure. It worked fine, but with two provisos. FIRST, as others have said, after a couple of minutes of use, this gets very hot. This is especially true of the small metal crimps that hold the bits of rubber tubing together - they get so hot that I worried that the rubber might melt. I was adjusting the pressures on 3 cars - so, 12 tires. 3 of them were already at pressure, so actually I used it to re-inflate 9 tires (adding about 3psi to each). I decided NOT to wait to let it cool down (on the basis of "I may as well find out now if it can't do the job - if that happens, I'll return it") and, despite the heat, it held up. So, I'm keeping it :-) SECOND, the pressure meter isn't accurate - it reads about 3psi too low (so a tire that 3 different pressure checkers show is at 32psi is displayed, by this unit, as 29psi). Not a big problem, as long as it's consistent.

Convenient
Use it to inflate all my kids toys. Definitely worth it if you have the other black and decker products.
