I need a very sturdy and strong back drop. The Kohse brand gives me that. Where others say they can handle up to 50lbs without bending I found not to be true. However, this Kohse brand passed my test of hanging canvases weighing a total of 45 lbs had no bend. I use this for comic con shows setting up in Artist Alley. So far I've had this for 10 months, taking it to 8 shows across the country and a couple in Canada. In that time we've had a good opportunity to put this through the riggers of operation. We love the ease of use in setting up. I'm impressed with the stand most. Some times the space allotted to us us is less than idea. The stand doesn't take up much space like a tripod stand would. And, is not that sensitive to being knocked over if someone were to bump into it. The flexibility in length and height is great too because our length can vary from 6 feet to 10 feet. Sometime they limit the height to 6 feet or 8 feet but love it when we can go to 10 feet. I try to take care of the things I own to make them last. However, some situations don't allow that control. Because we travel a lot by plane and we check this in it can, and has, get somewhat mishandled. Initially inspecting the bag I could tell the handle will not last long. It will rip and and eventually start ripping the bag too. To prevent that i stick the bag and everything into a box that is 42x4x6. I tape it well. The tape is what actually keeps the box together and works very well. I use heavy curtains to hand on the top bar. I'll wrap those and put them into the box too. I'll put other items in there to max out close to the 50 lb check in limit. All that is good . There are 2 problems with this to be aware of. First, it will get mishandled by airport employees moving it off and on the plane. That has resulted in a few dents. I hope nothing gets damaged where a dent will do enough damage where parts just won't fit well leaving the structure weak. I now use those have curtains to wrap around the metal bars to help prevent that further from getting damaged. Second, TSA can get very sloppy and have several times open it up doing a complete inspection. Be prepared for this to happen a lot. Any time metal is detected they are very prone to inspect. That in itself is not a problem. I'm happy they do it to keep everyone safe. However, some times things are sloppily put back together. Once, items were not put back the way I packed them. When we started to setup the screws not all together and I could not find the L-wrench. Both those were every important in having to setup. Luckily we found everything in the box instead of inside the bag. From then on we now keep those items in our regular check in suitcase where they are not opened for inspection as much. I also carry a spare L-wrench just in case we loose it.

Stand is very sturdy, no need to over tighten it. So if it would be over tightened I can see why the plastic would break. The bag could be made better and sewn better but we are happy with this stand.

the carrying case strap broke but the actual stand is awesome and heavy. the bar dips in the middle when its put out to maximum width though

Finally, a set of assembly instructions that are well written, easy to follow and make sense. This banner stand performed well. The sand bags which came with it were a great bonus. The storage bag and accessories are well organized. This was the best by far of the three different stands I've ordered in the last two years.

I bought this for my photobooth after reading the reviews. This is a sturdy backdrop stand. The bottom plates are heavy and the poles are thick and easy to put together. The 3 leg backdrop stand poles are very slim and cheap. I would recommend this backdrop stand.
