The Club UTL800 Utility Lock, 13.25"-20.25", Yellow

This is a great lock for my purpose. As all locks can be defeated, it's important to understand some level of context. If you let a criminal have enough time at anything, any security system can be defeated. If a criminal knows enough about a type of locking method, any lock can be defeated. For high value protection, I would advise using multiple methods (as opposed to a single method such as just solely utilizing this lock) to secure your property. That being said, this is a good sturdy lock that is a great supplement to my existing locking system. I use it to lock down my generator for my travel trailer so it doesn't develop legs when I have to leave. It's sturdy and it's ability to size accordingly is great. It prevents someone from getting leverage if it's loose. My advice is to get a size that can be sized down as much as possible. This means that the least amount of extension the better. Get one that fits accordingly. This avoids exposing the narrowest part of the lock. If what you're locking is highly valuable (expensive generator, motorcycle, etc), consider buying two, as a criminal may think twice dealing with two of these locks in one go. That being said, I still stand by the idea of utilizing multiple methods. In this example, I also use a cable/chain/padlock, and use this lock to secure my generator to the frame of my trailer.Overall, I like the ability to adjust the size, the robust build, the rubber outer coating to avoid nicks and scratchs, and the type of lock/key they use for this product. I would recommend.

ok if you want a bike lock that'll cover your tire, rim and the item to which you're securing your bike, this is the ticket. Yes it's heavy. It's meant to deter a thief and it has to be robust. Overall, however, it works fantastically and I ordered 2! I would highly recommend this lock and am quite sure a thief would simply pass up the bike secured with this lock to find another victim. When my wife and I ride our bikes, I found I can use 1 of these to lock both our bikes frames and back tires to the pole or bike rack. I carry it in my backpack and use it when necessary.Interesting note... The size of the lock is actually helpful when in my backpack. It doesn't jostle around and I can put other things inside the gap in the frame of the lock. Works great. Spend the money and get a quality lock and I highly recommend this model. It even came with 4 keys!To the guy who wrote a review saying his key worked on another lock... I tested the key on the opposite lock I purchased and it didn't work so just know you won't have to worry about some master key scenario.Happy to answer any questions about functionality, etc.

It's a great and heavy lock, I got it for my bike because I wanted something that would do the job and didn't cost as much as most "bike" locks. This is a "utility" lock but that just means it has more uses but at a fraction of the cost. When you get it you'll instantly see that it's pretty tough, that being said again its important to know that no lock is unbreakable but this one looks like it'll be a hassle to break which would ward off thieves. It came with 4 Keys and has a coating that doesn't scratch the paint from my bike which I like. It is a bit heavy so I usually carry it in my bag. I live in Chicago and bring my bike in the house at night so again remember where there is a will there is a way, know your surroundings and don't give thieves an easy target.

I love this lock for my bike! I've seen some people complain about the weight but that's not a negative thing for a bike lock, it's a benefit. I just lock it around my bike frame while I ride so weight is not an issue anyway. I was concerned that all the locks might be keyed the same so someone else who owned this lock could just unlock my bike and take it, but after ordering a second lock I can confirm that they're all keyed differently and the keys do not work in other locks. This lock is so thick and strong that I have no worries about my bike getting stolen, it's nothing like cable locks I've had in the past that were easily snipped with boltcutters. It's also large enough that it's not difficult to find things to lock my bike to, and it locks in an extended position so that opens up tons of possibilities. The price point on this lock is amazing as well. Buy this lock! Combine it with other types of locks just to make it that much harder for someone to steal your bike! Don't let the bike thieves win!

I learned very quick that even with the best U-Lock the bike thieves in San Francisco will strip your bike of everything that's not bolted down. Happend to me 3 times while using what I thought was the best Lock money could buy. I learned quick name brand and high price doesn't mean great pretection. Everything changed when I bought the Club Utility Lock.If done right you can practically lock up back,front, and frame thanks to thanks to it being wider and able to adjust the locking mechanism.It also allows enough room to lock up 2 bikes with plenty of extra room.I also think it's a smidge thicker than standard U-Locks with a thick rubber coating to make sure u don't scratch up ur bike.But more than anything else is the crazy cheap price point.They can easily charge 3x more and I'd still buy.Other locks are so overrated and crazy expensive for the smallest version.This is third one and I recommend the Club Utility Lock to everyone but especially as a bicycle Lock.

Have it over 4 months now and I can say it's very save and good quality 🙂
