pBone Jiggs pTrumpet Plastic Trumpet w/Gig Bag and 3C and 5C Mouthpieces, White, (PTRUMPET1W)

For a plastic trumpet this thing is pretty cool. Its fun to play on! I have dropped this thing a few times and it has never been damaged. The valves are pretty quick and responsive, I have not had one get stuck yet. This would be great for someone who wants to play trumpet for fun or maybe a young kid wondering if it is for them. It does play differently than a true brass instrument. Pitch centering is different on notes as well as low range (below C) is not the best. I play better on a true brass trumpet mouthpiece rather than the plastic ones for the low range. The color of the sound is good, not the same as a trumpet but it it nice. Fun to play, not frustrating at all. I am glad I went with this one over the other ones on the market.I am a come back player (I played all through middle school and HS). I sold my trumpets a few years ago and I wanted to give it a go again for fun. This is helping me get my embouchure back. Once I get to where I feel like I am back to the old me, and I have the funds I will go get me a bach strad most likely. This also would be a good horn to travel with to practice in the hotel or whatever. Impressed with the product.

My son was hoping to use this at school band. It turns out that it is not reliable enough to use in band as it falls apart and the valves stick. It’s fun to have around the house though. We like making noise with it and the kids teach their friends how to play.

Great trumpet for use in marching parades or playing in the stands. I bought this horn to use in my local soccer fan group. I can set it down in the bleachers without worrying about it getting dented or scratched. It came with two mouthpieces, but I used my own 1 1/2C. I think a real metal mouthpiece helps the tone that you lose with the plastic horn. The thing weighs almost nothing on it's own. The valves are wider diameter than a normal horn, making you have to spread your fingers out a little more than feels natural on a real metal horn. The pinky ring on the horn also seems to far out to make it completely comfortable. I do have smallish hands for a guy, so that could be the problem, but the location and placement of the valves is definitely different than a performance horn. I have not yet had to oil the valves but I have cleaned them out.

The product as a whole is good. One of the valves started to stick (doesn't bounce back) after a month of light use, and no amount of cleaning/oiling helps. Warranty was for, yes, you guessed it, a month. If I can find a good solution for to fix the valve, it might increase the star-count on this review, but the unreliability of this product is disappointing. Otherwise, it has the potential to be a good travel instrument - rugged, and good looks. Even sounds fairly decent ( a bit "compressed" in tone).

Wow! What a cool horn! I was really loving playing until the 3rd valve started to stick! I tried cleaning it, oiling it, cleaning it off again... nothing has worked. I might have to send it back if the pTrumpet people don't respond.Edit:I contacted customer support and within 12 hours they had replied with some helpful advice. All of the valves are interchangeable so I switched out the 2nd and 3rd valve and I haven't had any problems! Great horn!

Looks nice, tone surprisingly good for what it is, a little dark, not bad. Intonation was quite good, especially compared to the other plastic trumpet brand. No trouble getting/staying in tune. Plays a little loose, very easy to lip slur in the upper register. Except for the valves I absolutely love this thing. Valves started off great but after two weeks of daily playing they began sticking. No amount of cleaning/oiling could get them back to usable condition so this one is going back. 35 years trumpet experience.

Only con is that the valves stick from time to time a bit quicker than brass horns.

esta fue la segunda vez que la compré, la primera trompeta que llegó, estaba muy defectuosa pues uno de los embolos llegó atorado. la devolvi y pedi otra suponiendo que se solucionaría, al llegar la segunda trompeta si estaba mejor, pero los embolos se atoraban ocasionalmente, en las instrucciones viene una guia y dice que cada vez se atorarian menos, pero ya paso el plazo de devolución de amazon, y al contrario los embolos se atoran al grado que es imposible tocar 6 notas seguidas sin que un emobolo se atore, es la PEOR compra que he hecho en amazon por que no fueron 3 pesos, fueron mas de 2000 pesos y ya no lo puedo devolver, el numero serial llego medio borrado por lo que no sé si la marca me dara garantia o se lavará las manos y no me hara devolución. definitivamente NO SE ARRIESGUEN, es una perdida de tiempo, aunque si funcionara adecuadamente sería un producto increible ya que es muy ligero y tiene muy buen sonido. no le pide nada a una trompeta de metal standard. lastima

Questa tromba è perfetta! La consiglio vivamente a tutti...La uso a scopo didattico e mi trovo benissimo. È anche molto bella esteticamente.

ottima per i bambini, a non usatela in modo professionale, mi ha lasciato a piedi a una processione dopo mezz'ora non voleva più suonare

I purchased this Ptrumpet for the first time in two months ago. I found the first valve got stuck and did not pop up. I got replacement twice and all of them had the same problem. Now, I came to a conclusion that their springs are not strong enough.

Viene muy bien, hay que ver lo que es, y calidad precio esta bastante bien
