Fanimation Studio Collection LP8350BLAZ Vintere Caged Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit, 20 Inch, Aged Bronze

We got our first one at Lowes and purchased this one here. We have these it two rooms that are used by kids. If you have or are planning to get bunk or loft style bed, I highly recommend this unit! The adjustable and reversible amount of air is great... from low to hurricane! The bulbs that come with it are OK, but we upgraded to a slight more powerful bulb, also and LED type.We also purchased a second remote control to allow for our teen to have a control in a holder on her to bunk. This allows for her to be in bed while reading and then turn out the lights at night without having to climb the bunk bed in the dark.The smaller fan blade length and cage around the blades relieves worry than a child or teen will be struck by a blade while on the top bunk. We see this as a strong selling point.The instructions were easy to follow although the final step of tucking the wiring and emplacement of the cover is a bit tricky and may take a few tries.

A little less than a year ago we moved into our 141 year old Vermont farmhouse (a real farmhouse, not a design adjective) and are slowly making improvements. We needed a ceiling light in our bedroom and were glad to find this Fanimation light/fan combo. My husband had to run electric into the ceiling and had everything completed within 45 minutes. He also installed a wall switch so the unit can be operated with the switch and/or remote. Obviously he knows what he’s doing. The fan works great-high is too cold for me now but may come in handy during the summer months (no air conditioning). On low and medium speed, noise is negligible. On high speed, it sounds like a fan, white noise to me, not intrusive and not an issue. I will probably reverse the fan direction for fall & winter months. I appreciate the ability to make that change. The light is good and the dimming function is really useful. This fan/light really fits beautifully with the hand hewn ceiling beams. We like it so much that we purchased another for our kitchen. Even though the rooms are not adjacent, the remotes conflicted with each other. My husband was able to “fix” that issue easily. We purchased a similar, look alike unit (on Amazon) from a different company for our living room because the fan supposedly had stronger air movement. I’m not convinced about that claim. It looks the same but with several shortcomings. This inferior alternative came with no battery for the remote. The battery is an unusual size and how can you check the installation without a working remote? This “other” fan is not reversible and the lights can not be dimmed, and no light bulbs were included. The Fanimation unit is clearly superior to me. It looks great, works as described, and came complete with remote battery and very attractive LED light bulbs. Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded. We love this item. We brought two of them for our basement area. The ceilings are low, and during the summer months, it can get stuffy in this area. Because of the low ceiling, and average ceiling fan (even a flush mount) would not due. This fan blades will not chop someone head off even if you are standing directly under it 🙂. My 6'3" son loves this part. The lighting is a little dim, but you can change the bulbs. The air circulation is great for a fan with small blades. The remote has a timer, and will allow you to change the fan speed and the degree of light.My only negative is you have to use the remote to turn this device on or off, and adjust the light and fan setting. I am going to have an electrician come in for something else and I will see if at least can we have the light be added to a dimmable wall switch.I saw a device similar to this displayed and operating at a Home Depot. It was called the Stile Anderson fan. I started to buy that one but what I did not like about that one was the noise level. That fan sound like a jet taking off in a crowd store. The fan did not have side vents, you had to stand close to it to feel a breeze.All and all, I am glad I did a little research, and I am happy with my purchase.

I purchased two of these fans to install in a narrow stairway leading to a converted attic in a home built sometime in the 1920's. I had had enough of the stifling heat walking up the stairs. The vent and the floor fans I had pointed at the stairs did nothing to help. I had estimates to upgrade the heating/cooling system or install a ductless system and finally installed a window A/C unit, which drastically cooled the upstairs at a reasonable cost, but did nothing to help the stairwell. I had to hire an electrician to install them because of the height of the ceiling and the need to brace the fans. They've been up for two days now. I love the look of them and these fans have really helped the flow of air. As other reviewers have stated, you have to stand directly below the fan to really feel a cool draft, but overall the heat does not knock the wind out of me as I'm walking up the stairs. It is much cooler. They do sound like small drones, but this does not bother me and it reminds me of a white noise app used for sleeping. Plus, they're no noisier than the three floor fans I was using to try to help the situation before purchasing these fans. Overall, I think they upgrade the look of my home and really help remedy a situation that had frustrated me for a few years now. I only deducted one star overall for the noise, but give the noise a 3 star, because they might be too noisy for a light sleeper if they were installed in a bedroom.
