Absolutely cool plasma ball!
My youngest son asked for a plasma ball for Christmas. I never knew they came in different colors until I started looking into them more and found this green one (his favorite color). He loves it! It is definitely fragile and could easily be broke so not for kids who are too rough (I’m anxious that my son will break his). With that in mind this is a neat gift!

Plasma Ball
My 9 year old grandson was so excited to get this. He loves anything weather related; so I think it’s the electricity (lightening) that pulls him in.

Great gift, not as flashy as the picture.
The plasma ball doesn’t have as many “arms” of electricity as the picture description shows but it functions like a basic plasma ball. The green color is cool. My 9 year old son loves it and used it as a night light (I read that it is safe to leave on overnight, just might eventually burn out like any lightbulb would.)It does make a slight humming sound, so if left on at night, that might bother someone.Has a protective coating on the glass so when you leave your hand on for an extended period it doesn’t get too hot.Overall great item.

Exactly as stated
So far this item is exactly as described. It looks great in my office and fits in nicely with some of my Star Trek borg stuff. It looks and works great. Some reviews stated it only worked a few minutes to an hour then wouldn’t work. First thing I did was to turn it on and ran it for three hours straight. And yes the globe does look cloudy, but if you read the instructions it’s supposed to be this way to help it look green. Over all I am satisfied with the item

works like a champ and nice colors
UPDATE: I bought this in September of 2021. It's now December of 2021 and its stopped working today. I'm seeing a lot of other reviews with this kind of experience. I suppose if you need a plasma globe to work for a month, this might be the right one for you, but if you need it to last for a while, it's probably not.For what it's worth, I checked the output from the AC adapter and it was 11.7 volts and I've not touched the switch since installation, but moving it to OFF, ON, or AUDIO changes nothing. And, as others have mentioned, the return period is long over and I see no information about a warranty, so lesson learned, I suppose. :(ORIGINAL REVIEW:Over the last few weeks, I've drawn to a close a 4.5-year-long procrastination phase and am cleaning/organizing my home office. One of the outcomes of this new phase is that I'm finding opportunities to (re-)add fun things to my office, like my old dusty Lava Lamp. When I found a place for that (and replaced its dead light bulb), I realized that I've wanted a plasma ball for a long time and never believed I had a place for it in my cluttered office of old.Well, it's a new day in Andy's office and since I now have a space for a plasma ball, let's do it!This one seemed like a good color and had good reviews (although I'm a little bit worried about it $#!^^ing out on me), so I bought it. It arrived today (a few days later) and I was pleased with the air padding, but as I pulled up the padding, the ball dropped into the bottom of the box. Nothing appeard to be harmed, but it seemed like a dumb arrangement.Anyway, I plugged it in and got really nice purple plasma tendrils hitting the globe and turning green. Touching the globe did what it's supposed to do (brought many of the tendrils toward my finger(s), and I didn't feel any shocking/tingling/buzzing or anything else that would have told me that something is wrong.I plugged it into a smart power strip so that it and my Lava Lamp come on a little bit before I start work and then turn off when I stop.I'm pleased and hoping that it lives a nice long life, but hey, at [whatever relatively small price I paid for this], even if it dies in a year or two, I'll likely buy another one since I find it to be a lot of fun.

Great for kid and adult alike
My 9yr old received this as a Christmas gift. He LOVES it. It was really awesome that it came in green instead of the typical blue and pink. It works great when you touch it and is also sound activated which is pretty cool. The color is vibrant not dull at all. I am pretty impressed at how nice it is for the price. It is a nice gift option especially for the kids who have everything or don’t really know what they want.

Meh
It's not very solid. And it seems to interfere with remotes while it's on.

Cool purchase
The media could not be loaded. Pretty cool. Arrived on time. No damage. 6" ball is a decent size for a homeoffice desk.

A beautiful item to adorn my work desk
I have to admit after reading a series of feedback here, I was so skeptical and indecisive about whether I should get the item, however, I can't hold my temptation to get it eventually. And after comparing it to other brands I finally settle for this one since I am very fond of luminance green color and this crystal ball certainly pushes the button. The color and the brightness of this ball satisfy me a lot. It looks amazing at night and keeps my spirit pretty high during this precarious WFH nuisance
