The Prophet, the Shepherd and the Star (Volume 3) (The Epic Order of the Seven)

This book was awesome! My timing in reading it was good as I was reading through the prophets and looking for scriptures pertaining to the birth of the Messiah (leading to up Christmas). As with the other books in this series, this one did not disappoint - it was excellent!I LOVE this series of books! So far, each book I've read written by Jenny L Cote has been phenomenal! Well researched, creative, engaging, captivating... I could go on but I think you get the picture. If I had to pick a favorite, this one might be it.... but it's not easy to pick a favorite.

8 yr old loves this series. He's read all of them twice.

The Epic Order of the Seven series is incredible, I think reader of all ages will absolutely love this book as well as the whole series.

Jenny does a wonderful job painting a picture with words of what could have possibly been. These stories have intrigued my 3 boys! We read a chapter a night. My prayer is that when they are older and read the scriptures they will feel more of a connection to what really went on because of these stories. Great job Jenny!

Great book. Reading this series as a 'book club' with my grandchildren.

Wonderfully written! I cannot wait until my little grandson is old enough for me to read him these books. The characters are so likeable. He will love them all.

Another wonderful read by Jenny L Cote. The author has researched not only biblical sources but other historical and scientific sources to explain the Star of Bethlehem, the customs of the day, and the nature of the Magi that visited the Christ child. Inspiring. Adults as well as older children can enjoy these books.

This is a great series! My 11 year old loves it!

Bought one for a Granddaughter, she liked it so much I bought a few more in the set and she is reading them. Her excitement on the series encouraged me to purchase a set for another granddaughter. My wife looked through one and started reading. I may start reading.
