A handsome knife.
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. It's so pretty, the weight felt good in my hands. I'm not a hunter so I would have no use for it but it's a nice knife. Even if you didn't hunt, if a someone you know collects knives, this may he a good one to add to the collection.

This is an amazing knife, but….
“The beauty of handmaid lies in it’s imperfections. Anything perfect is machine made.” ~ Bigcat Roar knivesI’ve had this knife now for two weeks and I’ve ran it through its paces. Out of the box it was razor sharp, and the D2 steel is easy to sharpen. It has a good portion of the spine of the knife to use with a ferro rod, and it throws sparks perfectly with little effort. The dual Sabre inlay is a nice addition to the black stained hardwood scales. This knife does have jimping on it for thumb grip that’s a bit unfinished, but easily is smoothed out with a fine file, if you you like a more rounded comfortable thumb grip. The screws on the scales are T-10 I believe, set tight and counter sunk. I like the fact that it is a concave hollow grind instead of the typical convex Swedish style every other bushcraft knife has, and is easily sharpened on my whetstone. This knife is sturdy and batons very well, no mushrooming on the spine, with no chipping or rolling of the blade, and no pitting from sparks off the ferro rod. For the price you get a great knife. It came wrapped very well in plastic and oiled, so you’ll definitely have to wipe the excess oil off.The problem is the sheath. The sheath is absolute crap, it appears to be leather dust pressed and formed! The rivets are corroded, and the stitching is pulling apart, as well as the pouch pocket is cut crooked, and glue is dried on the outside of the sheath. I went ahead and bought a bps knives dangle sheath, and it fits and looks great with this knife, so in reality, You’re paying for a great well-made handcrafted knife, and the extra money that you spend for that new sheath, Is negligible because the knife makes up for it. That’s why I give it four stars on craftsmanship. All in all, I highly recommend this knife, for its beauty, its functionality, and its craftsmanship.

Great blade
I love the knife, it looks great and feels good in the hand. It’s came very sharp, I am going to enjoy carrying it. The only complaint it the sheath is backwards from how I would preference, And it’s little more ornate then I want.

Very nice knife
This is a very nice knife, even more so considering the modest price tag. There is nothing negative that I can say about the knife as delivered. If to provide nothing more than some feedback I would say this, packaging was quite good, but it might be worth adding some rust preventative along the tang where the metal butts against the phenolic. Mine had two minor points showing rust, but a quick lick with a scotch bright pad was all it took to remove them. The blade itself was clearly coated in a rust inhibitor and it showed no signs of corrosion from storage / shipping. The edge of the blade was quite sharp as delivered, but had a very slight roll on the edge, a fingernail would just barely drag. This also was easily corrected with a few passes on a honing stone...something that should be done with a new knife anyway IMO.Lastly, I paused slightly before buying to do a few searches on D2 steel being used as knife material. I found this:"D2 steel is an air hardening, high-carbon, high-chromium tool steel. It has high wear and abrasion resistant properties. It is heat treatable and will offer a hardness in the range 55-62 HRC, and is machinable in the annealed condition. D2 steel shows little distortion on correct hardening"and this (Rockwell hardness scale):"Very hard steel (e.g. chisels, quality knife blades): HRC 55–66 (Hardened High Speed Carbon and Tool Steels such as M2, W2, O1, CPM-M4, and D2, as well as many of the newer powder metallurgy Stainless Steels such as S30V, CPMS-154, ZDP-189, etc"At that point I was thinking...So duh, tool steel, which provides more or less all of the qualities you would want in an outdoor knife. I should probably buy this.Which I did, and would recommend to a friend. Thanks Bobcat, job well done.

Tons of compliments
There was an issue with the knife when I got it. It was nothing that happened whenmanufactured. . It must have happened in storage or shipping. Had tarnish on tip of blade and brass buttons on case. . I contacted the company who makes them and they asked for pictures. I sent them the pictures and they apologized and mailed me a new knife which arrived a couple days later. Now that’s customer service. The knife is the most beautiful knife I’ve ever owned and feels comfortable in my large hand. The blade and walnut stock are beautiful and perfectly made. No blemishes, dents, misshapen etc. I’m very happy. Update august 2023. This company stands behind their product and doesn’t give you the run around. You can buy more expensive and cheaper knives. For what you pay these knifes are very nice and them answering their emails quickly and coming through for me means a lot. That doesn’t happen much anymore. Buy the knife people. This is a good company
