OTTERBOX COMMUTER SERIES Case for LG G4 - Retail Packaging - Black

I received the phone as a present and encouraged by family members and people I know to buy and "OtterBox" for it and to get the name brand, not an inexpensive knock-off.This one is a sturdy box with rubber material around the edges and an opening in back for the camera and the on and off button. It also has a protection film to put over the screenThey work in the trades and carry the phones in their pockets they get into a lot of grungy situations, in and out of vehicles. and the occasional dropping of the phone and it has worked well to protect the phone. I carry mine in my purse and I have accidently dropped it a few times and it has saved my phone.Of course, you can't expect if you abuse the phone by throwing it - or the screen or phone will break; that is not a defect in the case; it means the person that does it have stress/anger management issues and abusing the phone.

I have been using this case for a few months now and it has paid for itself already. I know some people think 20 dollars for a case is kind of steep but you get what you pay for. The first time I know this case saved my phone I was doing a mad sprint to my car in some heavy rain and my phone flew out of my pocket! There is only a little scratch on the back of the case that I cant even feel. This case will help me get my 1.5 years of required use of of this phone. It fits great, looks great, feels great and protects it great. I would highly recommend.

Already has handled 3 major drops and to my embarrassment being thrown into the middle of the street when I went wave hello to a relative across the street. There is light scoring on the the hard plastic where it impacted the rough asphalt, but my phone remains intact and without any spider webbing.Pro-The rubber insole isn't too hard or too gummy. I've had firmer rubber insoles crack at the dust covers and on the corners. On the reverse there have been gummier ones that get stuck inside my pants pocket.-The dust covers aren't showing any age.-It allows the phone to rotate on it's back for those times you feel you absolutely must figit with something.Con-It adds noticeable weight to the phone.-It is thick.-During processor intensive activities the phone will heat up and this case insulates if anything.Great product Ilook forward to using it for the years to come.

Fits my LG G4 with leather back just fine despite some of the warnings. Other reviews echo this. You should have no problem. It's just a bit of a tight squeeze getting it on at first.There are no rubber buttons to worry about, as the G4 power/sleep button and volume controls are on the back of the phone. They are clustered around the camera and lens and there is ample space cut out of the case. The phone speaker cut-out works well too - no audio interference. A bit of grit accumulates down there so you may want to periodically remove the case and clean if this bothers you. USB jack and headphone jack, on bottom of the phone, are protected by rubber pull-outs which guard against dust and debris but not water. The case protrudes a bit past the screen which is a nice because it protects your phone when it is laid face down. The combination soft/hard case seems sturdy enough to protect my phone from falls of several feet. It adds minimal dimensions to the phone and has a compact appearance compared to the larger OtterBox products. It feels substantial and high quality (better be, for the price) compared to some other cheap-o cases I've owned or my girlfriend has owned over the years. I never thought I'd endorse OtterBox products, which I originally viewed as over-priced, but after wearing a case on my work phone (Samsung Galaxy S4) and now my personal phone, I am sold.Down side is the screen protector which can be a bit of a chore to get on the phone. Once it's on, it kind of looks like crap. The screen protector on my work phone (different OtterBox product so I can't say this applies to the G4 product I'm reviewing) developed weird rainbow blotches on it which look horrible and impact viewing. After trying to get the protector on juuuussssst right, I screwed up and ended up throwing it in the trash. I'm not too hard on my phone screens so I'm not worried about it.

I love the peace of mind I get from having my phone encased in the otterbox. The reality is I drop my phone every once in a while and sometimes I drop it on hard tile floors.. The otterbox protected my phone every time it was dropped. The otter box comes with a screen protector which is easy to apply, and two pieces a softer case and a harder case which goes over most of the soft case. It fits securely and access to the phone's controls is not impeded. While there are more attractive cases available I stick to the otterbox because freedom from worry is even more beautiful.

I love OtterBox cases, been using them for a long time. Yes they add a little bit of bulk to the phone, but I've gotten used to it and it's a fair trade off for the protection they provide. Anyhow, I had this on my LG G4 leather back until I upgraded to a new phone. I had no issues whatsoever with this case, and it saved that phone on multiple occasions. The fit was snug, but definitely doable. All the buttons worked fine (I've had that problem with other cases in the past). Get this, you won't regret it.

I have an LG G4 with leathback cover and the Otter Box Commuter case fits just fine. The installation of the phone into the case is easy. The feel of the plastic pieces feels sturdy, and I like the port covers on the case to assist with keeping dirt/sand/debris out of places where it should not be. The supplied glass screen protector is thinner than I would have ordered seperately, but it came with the case. I haven't had any issues with either product. I am very happy with my purchase. I strongly recommend this case to anyone with a G4.

Really like this case. It's super tight, provides more than adequate protection, and love the fact that it covers the USB-C port as well as the headphone port. While it does have a bit of bulk to it, it doesn't really have an effect on using the phone. It's well built, and feels super-premium. No cheapness about it. Everything, from the plastic to the rubber, feels tough as nails. All in all, I'm more than happy with this case.P.S. I would strongly advise to keep this on the phone at ALL times, as I was dumb enough to use my phone with the leather back on (which means I have to take this case off), and my phone dropped and now has a chip on its frame.

La coque Otter Box offre une bonne protection. Elle reste assez mince pour garder une bonne prise en main du téléphone

I love the commuter series cases. Fits my LG G4 perfectly but haven't tested the durability of the case yet but I put the commuter series case to the test on my old HTC One. We drove off from a cycling event with the phone on the roof and heard something fly off the roof when doing 60mph. When I found the phone in the middle of the road the case had a couple of light scratches and that was it, the phone itself was completely undamaged.
