Otterbox Cell Phone Case for LG G4 - Retail Packaging - Sleet Grey/Dark Deep Water Blue

Seems to be the quality I expect from Otter Box. I had a defender in my previous phone, which worked well but the rubber exterior stretched permanently and a thin layer of it started peeling back around the rear camera. I decided to go with a different model this time. Immediately I find 2 drawbacks... Nothing that completely kills the case for me though.It was advertised as having a screen protector, but there was no screen protector included in any way with my case. The rubber around the screen is raised which should offer some degree of scuff and scratch protection but I was hoping to have an included screen protector since that's what was advertised.My second issue is really just a minor annoyance with putting the case on the phone. This wasn't really a surprise as I had read something about it in a review but it's still worth noting. The rubber port covers must be paid attention to when you are putting the case on the phone. It can be tricky but the best way to get them positioned properly seems to get the covers through the holes for them in the outer shell before putting the rest of the outer shell on. It's a snug fit when all is said and done but as long as the covers are positioned correctly, removing the covers when needed should be pretty feasible without removing the case.That's my 2 cents!

I got a new one and didn't want to go through the multiple broken screen and replacements I had with my old one. I would get slim cases but over time the corners would break, as they re designed to do on impact. I wanted something thicker but never really like the Otterbox cases as they were overly large. I looked around and found this one, it appeared to be medium in size, not too large, and the color scheme isn't for kids or females.It was a brand new case from Otterbox in their retail packaging, which I give an A+ just for that. the price was also out of the park, given its an older phone, the case price was reduced. The case went on easy and gave the very slim phone some size and weight to it. I can hold it without fearing I'm going to slip out of my hand. The only problem I have with it, and its me not the case. Is that the USB and 3.5mm port have covers on them. With a new case they are very thin and I have very small finger nails. A+ on the case part as they are think and does it job as designed, no fault to the case. I'm perfectly content with this phone and it still fits in the front or back pocket of my jeans. I just try not to sit down with it in my pocket as I would do with any device.

Once again, Otterbox does not disappoint. The soft inner layer and hard outer shell of this case are fairly easy for me to remove and reinstall, provide what seems to be reasonably solid protection (I am hard on my phone), does not add quite as much bulk as the 'Defender' case does but I feel it provides good enough protection for what I do with it. The hard part of the case is smooth so that going in and out of my pocket is quite easy but the rubber inner sleeve provides enough of a non-slick surface that the phone is still manageable once it is in my hand.My case did come with a screen protector that I could have stuck to the screen but I have yet to actually install it so I cannot give any perspective on the screen protector aspect.There are plenty of slimmer cases out there but I am okay compromising a little bit on size of my phone to have the added protection that this case provides. Phones now a days are already way bigger than I want [frankly, I miss my flip phone....] but it is where we are and I do not want to have to spend 500+ to replace a phone because I am sometimes clumsy!

This is my first experience with Otterbox. I've been using the case for about a week now, and I'm very pleased with it.The box says it is not compatible with the G4 Leather Backplate, but I have the LG G4 Black Leather, and it works just fine. I was originally concerned about this because the plastic hardshell part of the case didn't sit quite right over the top of the blue silicone inner layer. But, it was simply a matter of breaking it in. Now the case sits perfectly.The other part of the case that requires some break in time are the covers over the USB charge port and the Headphone jack. They can be rather tough to get open at first.I can't speak for how well the case will absorb the shock from a fall, but it does add a rather weighty exterior to the phone, which at the very least, helps me feel safe.All in all, I'd definitely recommend this case to G4 owners.

I can definitely attest to the high quality and protective features of this phone case for the LG G4. When a negligent driver made an illegal left-hand turn through an intersection as I was passing through it on my bicycle, I took a spill on my bike, which lodged itself under the car of said driver. My phone also went flying out of my pocket onto the hot July asphalt. Upon recovery of the phone, it appeared completely undamaged: no scratches or cracks on the screen, no noticeable marking on the OtterBox Commuter case itself (unlike my hands and wrists, which are now familiar with the texture of asphalt combined with significant force).I recommend this phone case for any LG G4 owner who might be likely to lose their grip on their phone at height, or if you are attempting to coexist in a world of diverse urban transportation options.

I loved that this case fit my phone so we'll. I have the G4 with the leather backing, and after hearing disputes for and against if this will fit my phone, I decided to pull the trigger.Perfect fit. I will say this, there is no screen protector included with this case.I'm used to otter box quality, but have always had the version with the belt clip (which I never used ) the multiple layers of protection, and the screen protector. So this is a new fit for me. But so far I love it. I've dropped my phone on the tile floor twice since installing the case, and it has taken the hit with stride.

Shame about the limited colour options on the G4. I had one on these on my s3 which was used extensively in outdoor activities and survived many drops. Very confident in its ability. This colour combo isn't great, but that's obviously personal preference. Included screen protector is too small and poor. Case itself is a great fit, the curve makes it easy to get your hand around and while not a frequent phone dropper this case protected my G4 from a head height drop face down onto concrete with no damage. Worth the price for the peace of mind.

Here are some of the things I look for in a phone case: Durability, Feel, Design, Functionality, Price.Durability: In terms of durability, the Otterbox case seems quite durable, my phone has been damage free with a few drops from a couple feet. You don't have to worry about putting your phone face down as the case protrudes the case and protects the screen from direct contact.Feel: The combination of the hard shell and rubber interior casing allow for a comfortable feel while holding it. The case design almost guides your fingers to the buttons and its very easy to use.Design: The design is 2-piece, a hard shell and a rubber interior. The rubber backings to the usb port and the headphone jack are a slight nuisance as they push back against the cord that's plugged in. This worries me as I would not want a case that damages my cables.Functionality: All buttons and ports are quite easily accessible and I have no issues with the case so far. I have noticed that it seems to collect a little bit of a dust but all in all it's not too bad.Price: For the price point (I bought it on sale), I'd say you can't really go wrong with buying this case for the LG G4. I currently have it paired with the LG G4 Tempered Glass by JETech and it's safe to say I'm worry-free about my phone's protection.

I'm a phone dropper, that is why I always have an excellent case. But even I would not have expected my phone to survive what I did, even in the best case. I was getting out of the car after a long drive, and somehow managed to drop my phone in the door AS THE DOOR SLAMMED ON IT! There was a sickening crunch... Oh no! No way, no way did my phone survive that! I picked it up and right away noticed, the screen was intact! I removed the case and the back of the phone popped right off. The battery was a crescent moon shape. The phone was slightly bent but otherwise whole. I tried an alternate battery, and the phone worked! All I had to do was order a new battery from Amazon. I'm writing this review on my phone. Buy this case.

I love the color and so far the product is working as advertised. I have dropped my phone once already and has been well protected in this case. It does fit the leather backing (but barely). I now have the normal back on and fits well. I find the plugs that protect the headphone and charging port to be a little tighter than I would like. I tend to take a few minutes prying them open when they are closed all the way.
