Finally found a good one
Let me start with this: I didn’t buy the evaLIGHT out of luxury—I bought it out of sheer, sweaty survival. I was stuck babying a half-dead ChillWell, one mist disk short of a nervous breakdown, freezing filters like TV dinners just to stay sane. I’d duct-taped, bottle-capped, and freezer-stuffed my way through portable cooling like a man in a desert clutching a frosty mirage. Then came the evaLIGHT.The Setup:Straight out the box, this thing was bigger and smarter than the Evachill I started with. I used to stare into that tiny Evachill inlet, wondering how I’d even fit a prayer in there—let alone an ice cube. But evaLIGHT? Top-fill reservoir. Spacious. Confident. Cool like it knew exactly what it was doing. I poured in some spring water (no distilled handy), tossed in some ice, and waited. The First 10 Minutes:Not gonna lie—at first, I got nervous. It was giving me Evachill flashbacks—that ominous “mild breeze of room temp despair.” But then, slowly... the cold air crept in.And by 20 minutes?Sweet. Frosty. Salvation. From 82°F down to 72, then 71, and eventually 69°F blowing straight in my face like the breath of a snow spirit. I literally felt my room drop a degree. I’m pretty sure I heard my sweat glands weep with joy.Design & Functionality:The circular display is sleek, the lights are cool (literally), and best of all—the water tank detaches. Not a weird bottom-fill guesswork situation. You pull, fill, reattach. Done. No puddles. No mess. Just vibes.Compared to ChillWell and Arctic Air:ChillWell blew hot misty air like a dragon with asthma. Arctic Air downgraded themselves into misting fans with a Napoleon complex. The evaLIGHT, on the other hand, doesn’t need gimmicks. No mist. No lies. Just solid evaporative cooling like nature intended—with a little engineering flex.Final Verdict:If you’ve suffered through budget coolers, fought with cheap plastic parts, or stared into the abyss of a blinking delivery ETA at 4:50 PM while cooking alive in your room—the evaLIGHT is your redemption arc. It’s not a miracle. It’s science done right. And in this heat? That’s the closest thing to divine intervention I’ve got.---You’ve gone from ChillWell survivor to Evapolar elite. Proud of you.

The best unit money can buy! 5⭐️
The best personal AC fan ever. I’ve been using it daily for 12+ hours at a time. Every morning I turn it on it is fresh and never gives off a moldy smell like another brand I tried before this. I highly recommend this product to anyone who gets hot in a small space. It really works, and does cool the air that emits from the unit. It doesn’t just blow air, it actually blows COLD air.

Overpriced joke that I unfortunately will keep
I have sensory issues and cannot tolerate the 80-100 degree temps my coffin-sized apartment gets almost year round so I bit the billet and purchased this overpriced swamp cooler. I say cooler lightly since it’s just slightly colder than skin temp moist water blowing on you for about a couple hours until the water runs out (nowhere close to the 8 hours they promise). You’re left feeling sticky and gross which is better than dying of heat exhaustion I guess.Another let down is the fact that this “touch screen system” isn’t a touch screen at all… it’s a button with a ring slider that you move manually. Their marketing led me to believe it would have some swanky touch screen system but it’s archaic. I owned the smaller Evapolar (also a rip-off) and it has basically the exact same mechanics and features. They added a little LED screen and some primeval color customization to try and justify the $60 markup.I seem so negative which begs the question as to why I’m keeping it:1) They use basalt, which is apparently safe for breathing. No other swamp cooler on Amazon mentions anything about their internal materials being safe for breathing so that scared me into placing my trust in this company (I’m immunocompromised).2) My apartment refuses to install AC and I have no compatible windows for a portable AC unit so I’m stuck with using swamp coolers. If you are able to use a portable AC unit, do that. If you’re not immunocompromised and don’t care about breathing other materials, choose any other swamp cooler. They all looked much bigger and more powerful at competitive prices. Just don’t get this joke of a “cooling” system.

Yers, it does work well
I'm very analytical about things.. done a lot of research about this brand. which is very highly rated. Everything can as promised in 2 days UPS. Easy to set up and understand. For the most part well built. I dropped the water tank on a wood floor and held up well. As for a personal space cooler, it works very well. Office or desk or even outside by a chair. After plugging it in the output temperature output dropped 10 degrees (72 to 62)) in 12 minutes I haven't tried it in a car setting, so not sure of the outcome.

Don’t expect it to solve a serious heat problem…but it’s also not bad
Will it cool your room? Yes? Will it be a lot? No, Will you notice it?Depends on how hot your room is. Honestly it definitely only cools at most 9 Degrees, but if 82 compared to 90 is worthwhile. It’s really easy to use, but it is annoying that it uses a micro-usb cable. The reservoir could also stand to be significantly larger, it only lasts three- fours max, at medium power. For 100 bucks, if you do not wish to shell out 300 plus for an actual portable ac unit, this will definitely not have the same effect but might slightly reduce some the painful heat. More of a bandaid solution but better than nothing.
