Grinding noise on arrival
Haven't been able to use it. Makes ‘common’ grinding sound, Tacx words not mine - out of the box, apparently I need to fix it myself. Garmin (Tacx) sent a part overnight. I need to open it up and clean magnets. Getting it replaced might not guarantee the next one won’t do the same, as its a manufacturing defect. Disappointed on such an expensive purchase. Misled by raving reviews everywhere. Want the simulated ground effect. Will update once working.

Not very accurate. Power is always high.
I opened a case with Garmin, as the power set point for an interval was continuously exceeded throughout the entire ride. My earlier trainer was far more able to keep the ridden power closer to the set point and this Neo 2T is just flat out high. I was eventually told, by the Garmin 'engineer' that I should not be using ERG mode for training. What a preposterous comment! ERG mode was made for training. To not use it seems kinda nuts. For those that don't know what it is, ERG mode is the trainer keeping the required power at a certain demand. In that if it's an interval that is at 218 watts, the trainer will automatically keep the power demand at or around 218 watts. The Neo 2T is said to have a +/- 1% accuracy, which would make the variance +/- 2.8 watts. What I've experienced is around a +10% watt consistent rise in the ridden power over the set point/demand. That's not +/-1% at all. That's looking at the performance graph on TrainerRoad, and also compared to another actual power meter. I called Garmin again, and was told that the 2T 'is accurate, to itself'. Well, that's nice.I'm disappointed. It is quiet. Compared to my first trainer, it's a great trainer, but it's not worth the money since it is the most expensive trainer on the market. To pay that much of a premium for such horrible accuracy is hard to swallow...
