Extremely Dull! Needs lots of work to sharpen!
This axe looks great and feels good in my hand, and Elk Ridge is supposed to be a quality knife/edged weapon brand - but you can't tell that by this axe. There is no cutting edge at all. If you were to use this as an axe, you would not cut through anything. Now if you use it as a club, you could break branches with it - but this supposed to be an axe - to CUT and CHOP with. I would not recommend this axe to anyone wanting to actually cut or chop wood.
