Exceptional Flashlight
I can't say enough good things about this flashlight. I'm in the US Navy and I work on a submarine which means I need a reliable, rugged flashlight for my day-to-day tasks. If I'm inspecting some lagging tucked behind a giant pipe or a dark bilge in a dimly lit engine room I can see fine details plain as day. This flashlight lights up a large swath with even light, as if you were seeing it outside with natural sunlight. I have dropped it numerous times on steel deckplates from 7-8 feet high as I have been climbing down ladders and it doesn't even flinch, very solid build quality. As you hold it and manipulate it you can really sense that it is a well built product. My favorite feature is the fact that you can switch the brightness easily and consistently. It's the exact same brightness for its respective settings each and every time and it never flickers or fades. You simply press the button on the side and it cycles through five brightnesses. The lowest setting is ideal for when I'm in my pitch black bunkroom and I just need a tiny bit of light to see what I'm doing without waking everyone else in the room up. If I were to turn it up to the max brightness, however, it lights up the entire room as if I had just turned on the room's overhead light (seriously). I have given these as gifts because I like it so much. $75 seems like a lot for a flashlight, but after using this I can't imagine going back to an inferior light. If you do buy it, I recommend buying a couple rechargeable batteries with it. You can find them on Amazon and they only cost about $15 with the charger included. The flashlight actually lasts a pretty long time on a single charge. I use mine regularly for about a month on the second brightest setting before I need to swap batteries. The description lists the approximate runtimes for each setting, though. I prefer keeping mine on the second brightest setting because it is seriously plenty bright for anything I ever need it for and it conserves battery life significantly longer than the highest setting. The only time I could imagine you would need the highest setting is for if you are outdoors and need to search a large area or something like that. Anyways, you won't be disappointed with this light. It is the perfect size and people are always surprised at how such a small tube can put out so much light. The sheath it comes with is handy, too, and so far it has held up great. Hope this review helped you!

Had a PD32 then got the PD35. Love them both.
This flashlight is frankly awesome. Received the PD 32 as a gift, loved it and thought we lost it. So I went online to buy another one when I saw the PD35 and decided to try it. OMG this flashlight is bright! Almost too bright in some applications if you couldn't dim it, which you can. It isn't much longer than the PD32 but way brighter as is obvious by the 850 Lumen. Funny that the day we received the 35 from Amazon, we found the PD32 (under the seat of my truck). They are both fantastic lights. I carry the PD32 now in my purse and the 35 in my truck. We have property in the country and frequently walk around in the dark out there. I no longer need to carry our big flash light as this thing is not only more compact but much brighter with a very good range. Drop a nut or bolt into an engine compartment? No problem finding it with this bad boy. Quality is not an issue here. The few reviews with bad experiences have to just be one off lemons or careless users. The only thing you need to decide is size. If you want something small enough to fit in your pocket, the PD35 is borderline. I can stick it in my back pocket and it is fine but maybe too long for the front pocket of my jeans to be comfortable. A belt is an option, of course. The PD 32 is a bit lighter and more compact for carrying in a backpack or purse if weight is an issue (as usually is when hiking/camping) but the PD35 is so dang awesome that it is worth it. The PD32 offers great light. We were completely satisfied with it before we had the PD35. But the 850 Lumens of the PD35 is insane! If you think bigger and brighter is better (we do) then stop reading these reviews and buy it. You will not regret it. PS - my husband's brothers each have the PD32. They are now jealous of our PD35. If you are buying this as a gift for a man, well, get the bigger brighter one (PD35). To them, size matters.

best light ive purchased
I have purchased a few flashlights around this price range and even more below. I can honestly say it is the best all around tactical flashlight I have come across. Both at work and home this light gets the job done. Especially with the Fenix Diffuser Tip it comes in handy working on the car or to light up the block when the dog gets out. Only hope is that it withstands the test of time and lasts me unlike many of the lights I have used before. Its more powerful than some of the lights I have purchased claiming 1600 lumens. Only draw back I have found with it is the brightness mode button can be difficult to find at times. My job requires me to move fast occasionally and that can be a little bit of a let down but that could also be something that will become easier overtime since I have had it less than a month. Overall recommend this light for anyone who needs a solid all around powerful flashlight. For its size and capability it seems this is the light to beat.
