NOT compatible with LED lights
Beware if using this dimmer for LED lights. Even though it says it is compatible, as seen in the snip from an article explaining the difference between Leading Edge and Trailing Edge dimmers, this type(leading edge) is not compatible with LED lights. It caused mine to flicker and they would not even turn on until about 80% of the way when turning the knob. The description of the product is misleading, as clearly you need a Trailing Edge type dimmer for LED lights. I am returning this and have ordered the correct type that is actually compatible with LEDs.

What can I really say?
There is no way I can seriously get excited about a white single gang blanking plate but I'll do my best. It's a plate and it blanks off a box where a socket or switch used to be. Oh yes...it's white. End of review.

Cheap - for a reason!
Bought this and it's had very little use, having had a smart switch plugged into it since installation. Then one day the smart switch became unavailable on its app. Upon checking, it was not receiving any power through this socket. I tried the Knightsbridge CU700S's switch but it was stuck on, and trying to operate it created an arcing sound and signs of sparks inside the socket.I quickly unplugged the smart switch and disconnected the socket from the ringmain, replacing it with an MK one.Checking the Knightsbridge socket showed the switch lever had melted inside due to arcing of the switch contacts. See the attached photo of the inside of the socket. The switch was never operated after it was installed and switched on, so it hasn't failed due to excess use or too much force. It was simply arcing inside and melting the components. It was fortune I was able to spot this and disconnect the socket from the mains supply, or the arcing could have caused a fire.As a result I have to say I think this product is dangerous, not fit for purpose and shouldn't be on sale.

Easy to install
I am not an electrician. I’ve never wired in a socket before in my life. But I managed to install this switch without killing anybody. Just two wires to install. Nice feel switch when you switch on and off the light. Very happy, even happier that I am here to write this review

Good Upgrade to a standard plug socket
This was straightforward, straight replacement for a recessed double plug socket. The fitting was a little tight once the wiring had been connected - but I think this was more to do with the angle/location of how the wiring actually entered the recess more than the slightly deeper size of the socket. The socket itself seems well made and the socket handles charging a mobile and a tablet without any major problem - although the 3.1a is split across both USB sockets. if only 1 device is connected you can use all 3.1a but if 2 devices are attached it will split the 3.1a across both of them.Good product and I will look to purchase more to replace some double sockets in my kitchen during an upcoming refit.

Incomplete Product Sent, with potentially dangerous missing connection attachments!
Dimmer switch was delivered without the following:1. No retention screws for the wiring the L1, L2 or common sockets within the switch!2. No screws to fit dimmer switch to my existing back plate!3. No blanking plugs to hide the non existent screws that were supposed to be provided to fit the dimmer switch to my existing back plate! I had to cannibalise my old dimmer switch to obtain the screws etc. that should have been provided with my new dimmer switch!Absolutely ridiculous product provision, especially given that it was an electric switch!I have not returned it as I needed it for the weekend and to make my existing switch safe, so I managed to obtain sufficient parts from my old dimmer switch to ensure it worked! My first incredibly poor product from Amazon and given that it was one of their ‘Amazon recommended’ products, I am not impressed and annoyed that I was not in a position to return it! If I could have submitted a review less than 1, I most certainly would have! Caveat emptor!

Great plug with versatility
With the number of items running off usb power these days, i had to get this installed in my new house.I had another one previously at my old flat and these are great for just plugging in usb cable connections without finding the plugs.i use it to charge my battery packs, fitbit and other devices but you still have 2 normal sockets for other needs.Easy to install but please make sure you are confident to do so yourself and turn off all the power first. If not always get a professional to install for you.Very pleased with the purchase.Note: Fast charges for phones will need your socket adapter still to charge quickly as this is where the tech to do this is.

Easy to install replacement for standard socket
Great replacement for standard sockets to gain USB ports. No need to replace anything but the face. I installed two of these into my bedroom, either side of the bed to add versatility for charging phones / smartwatches while keeping the socket free for plugs. Unlike other USB sockets that are available, plugs used on this socket do not block access to the USB port. On/off switches are in the 'usual' place meaning they can also be used without any trouble, and they match other sockets around the home. Also avoids having so many power packs and chargers clogging my sockets. Excellent product.
