Uni-ball Jetstream RT Roller Ball Retractable Waterproof Pen, Blue Ink, Fine, Dozen (62153)

I ended up buying these pens due to the fact that we can't use gel ink pens at my job. I do really like the way that these pens write. the ink flows smoothly and you could almost write upside down. The grip is rubberized so it has a soft touch feel. Great pen and it has a classic design and feel to it. Highly recommended.

Nice quality ball point pens. I use them for writing checks and no smear or smudging. Have a good fit and grip. They are very good for general purpose use.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:These have been my favorite pens for years. They are comfortable to hold, write super smooth, and create an all around enjoyable writing experience. If I could write a love letter to a pen, it would be to this pen (and I would use this pen to write the letter). I recommend them to everyone who cares to listen.

Great metal detection for my job, but... Wrong color

If you want a reliable quality pen and what you care most about is clean, reliable lines, the Uniball Jetstream RT series are the best there are. They're available in red, blue, or black, and in several ball sizes. I love the 1.0 mm tip for wide rule paper and 0.7 mm for college rule. When I am marking up a printed page, the 0.7 mm red is the perfect size to mark clearly on 12pt laser printed type. My friend Rainya says her favorite is the blue 1.0 mm for work notes. I use the same on canary legal pads for my morning writing with coffee. But I swap out on occasion with a white legal pad with blue or black ink. And—this is the clincher—somehow Uni have managed to create a ballpoint with all the flow and smoothness of a gel pen. It's looked for a long time through many brands and models, and THIS is the pen that beats them all.

I don't write reviews but I wanted to share my appreciation for this pen. I'm fairly particular about my pens but I've been using this type of pen for over 3 years now and I don't have any plans to change. It's gotten me through law school.WRITING:The .70mm gives a very fine point while still writing extremely smoothly. The ink on these guys soaks in very quickly and I've never had any issues w/ smudging. The blue ink is my preference since it provides a contrast to all the black ink when taking notes/underlining and it has a good weight (especially if you're prone to spinning pens around your fingers like I am).DURABILITY:I carry this pen around in my pocket all of the time. It has never stained my pocket or spilled/broken (knock on wood). I've occasionally had the barrel crack on me but truth be told, I'm rough on pens. Even when the barrel does crack, because of the rubber coating, it still writes perfectly well and keeps together. I couldn't ask for more out of a pen.AVAILABILITY:I've never found the 0.70mm blue ink in anything other than a three pack w/ a black and red pen in stores, which is frustrating, so instead of getting a bunch of pens I don't need, I ordered them here. Aside from ordering from Staples/Office Max/Office Depot, this is the only other place to order them since Uniball doesn't ship directly (I've checked).Seriously, if this pen wrote upside down like the Fisher Space pen (my second favorite - this one being my favorite pen), it would be the best pen you could buy. Period.

These are not 0.7mm. They are more like 0.3mm. It is a very very narrow line.
