Adapter from Pentair sand filter to replacement XtremepowerUS variable speed pump
My Pentair 1.5HP motor started leaking so I decided to replace the entire motor / pump as opposed to trying to repair. Purchased an offbrand XtremepowerUS variable speed pool pump which had different threads on the outside as compared to my Pentair Sand Dollar pool pump. This adapter allowed me to use the internal threads of the new pool pump to match the external threads of the existing filter system. The male threading did not go as deep as I would have liked so I did have to cut home made gasket. You can buy gasket material at any hardware store or auto parts store. Not a big deal, only requires tracing the fitting with a pen then using a utility knife to cut the gasket material.
