I am a university student, and found that this book covers excellently the basis of what we study at a higher level. It is perfect for highschool students wanting to go into zoology. It is also full of pictures, and has made a great gift.I would recommend for primary students too, but the book is quite heavy.

This book should appeal to both young and old naturalists. Good illustrations & lots of detail about each creature. Could be fun to find each animal not in a zoo or wildlife park!

I bought this book as a gift, particularly to introduce someone to British birds. I found that some of our more common birds, such as jackdaws, are only mentioned as an aside with no illustrations. It is quite a large book, and other descriptions are very good.
