Grafco Plastic Eye Shield, Adult Size, 1276-1

I had cataract surgery and was supposed to wear an eye shield when sleeping, for about week. The one they put on me at the hospital I didn't like. I couldn't see through it and it felt awkward, especially when I was trying to sleep. My head on the pillow pushed against the other one but this clear one worked great. I could see through it.. a couple pieces of tape held it in place easily and it didn't bother me when I was trying to sleep. It stayed on just fine and never bothered me. I wished the eye surgeon used this type rather than the other metal and silicon one....

It's a long story, but I have to wear this every night for at least a month to keep me from rubbing my eye in my sleep. I'm 2 weeks in and I have never had any trouble sleeping with it on, nor has it come off at night. That said, I don't know if something like this could ever get an honest 5 for comfort. I only use two, 1-inch strips of tape. I did get t he hypoallergenic tape for babies and it works well. My skin is holding up.

It is a bit awkward to tape in place but did an acceptable job protecting my eyes in the early postop period after lens replacements.

This device works perfect..thankfully I watched a video explaining how to position it over the eye.. if I knew how to clean the tape residue off when changing the tape I would had scored higher

They wanted to charge my mom 90 bucks for a "kit" that included an eye patch, lubricated eye drops and tape to keep the eye patch on. So, I ordered this patch for her and bought over the counter Systane lubricant ultra high performing dry eye relief eye drops by Alcon for around 11.00 & tape for about 4 bucks and the price was less than 1/3 the cost the eye center wanted to charge her out of pocket.

Even worse than the shields I got from the doctor when I had Lasik.These are so flat they touch your eyelashes, and the edges are so rigid and sharp they cut into your skin. Pathetic little piece of plastic for $7! You think they'd at least give you two.

This was exactly what the Eye Surgeon stated I needed for my retina eye surgery. They do not give them out anymore prior to the surgery. It is up to you to purchase and I am so thankful to have found it here. Great purchase, great value. Thank you!
