Good but get it set up before going anywhere
This item was a bit of a lifesaver when travelling but a bit of headache to set up...when I got it turned it on but would not connect to any signal and could not connect to the app had to phone the company direct given the serial number to activate item when brought through Amazon I was told I would get an email to let me know when it was activated but did not get any such email so turned it on anyway and it got connected to the app and started working would definitely recommend BUT definitely get set up before you go anywhere

Really slow and keeps disconnecting
Costs a fortune and is just garbage. Internet keeps disconnecting. The router takes up to 5 minutes to boot up. Has a tendency to shut down for no reason. It's infuriating to work with. I wish I didn't spend £119 quid just for the freaking device only to spend another 40 on the data. All their websites are just littered with bugs and errors. When I tried to buy the freaking subscription it would just keep showing me random errors in Chinese! So far my experience was horrendous. Please save yourself the stress and look elsewhere.

BAD CONNECTION, FRAUDULENT SUBSCRIPTION, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
1- My phone worked much better than the device at all times and was actually cheaper!2- Their website says 1 month unlimited and they kept charging me without my consent.3- There is no way to stop easily (well I still could not find how to do it) the subscription or renewing of the month on the account.4- I had to spend over 1 hour on the phone. Their call centre is awful and when you are close to solving your case they hang-up on you!5- They were supposed to call me back to solution my case, no one ever called me.6- They are now arguing the refund, after me passing over an hour on the phone with them.Poor product, dodgy money taking, horrible customer service!

Works well, once sorted. Support a bit slow.
Trying to use in Dubai but won’t connect after 4 days. Their support emails were very slow and didn't help, however they have now replaced my unit which now works perfectly!

slow to connect - poorer signal than the esim in my ipad
I had expected superior performance to the esim in my ipad but was disappointed. Perhaps the coverage in the area I was travelling to (Turkey) was just inferior to the competition but, as a user, I was simply expecting coverage that was at least as good and a superior signal.

Useful Device, just make sure you set it up properly before travel!
I used it as a hotspot for my phone. I liked that it has an app and it shows you how much battery life you have, how long left you have of a day pass etc. Its not too big and can easily fit into a bag.I did not like that it took a while to get set up and I had to contact customer service. Although customer service was great!

Dreadful company
I couldn’t even get the Solis Lite I bought to turn on and stay on. Numerous emails have been sent and eventually they reply but so far it has taken 2 months and I’m getting nowhere fast. They have agreed the unit is defective. I sat on the phone one evening to their support line - no answer. Also been promised they will send a mail label and replace the defective unit weeks ago but no label. Worst customer service I have ever come across. And please don’t tell me to email you Skyroam - I have done so many times!!

DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR JOB FOR DEVICE NOT WORKING
I personally would not recommend the SKYROAM SOLIS unless you want to LOSE YOUR JOB. I would encourage all remote users to read this review from a REAL user. I am currently remote working around Portugal under the idea from my boss that if this works, I can continue to live my dream. Skyroam 'claims' to be perfect for this. Let me breakdown my average day and tell you why SKYROAM IS A MASSIVE CON:• I typically have around 4-5 Zoom calls a day, so does my partner. Let's say that is 10 Zoom calls per day.• We both work using online platforms (Adobe, Airtable, Miro etc.)• We check our emails regularly and belong to Teams and Slack.• In the evenings if the weather is unfavourable, we watch Netflix. This is the typical usage for an average travelling couple. The Skyroam boasts they can handle all of this and more. It is a con to steal your money and this is why. They will give you 20gb of data for a month for €45 and then reduce it to fair usage (500mb speeds), Zoom requires 810mg speeds. Even having the device on will drain your data if you are not even connected to it from a device (I spent two days in Spain unable to connect to my device because the app is rubbish and I apparently used half my data when I literally was not connected to it!!).Now, here is the con. Once you use all your data in the first week, they will offer you a top-up service because the speeds are so painfully slow you will need it. You won't be able to hold an audio call on Zoom or Skype, you won't be able to load an internet page. So, they offer you the same 20gb of data at the whooping price of €70! Now, I know what you're thinking "€70?! I thought 20gb cost €45? Why the sudden increase?!". I have spent the last two weeks trying to figure this out with their appalling customer service and STILL do not have answers. However, my boss sure as heck wants me back in the UK facing either losing my job or my dreams. So a massive round of applause for the rubbish Skyroam. Don't be me, don't be a mug, get something better than Skyroam.
