I purchased 2 of these bags of dog food. The first one was just fine. I didn't open up the second one - this one - until today - January 18, 2021.The smell was like house paint. It was horrible. I threw it away but that's a LOT of money down the drain.The "return window" has long passed; so, unfortunately for me, I don't get my money back.But thank God I didn't feed it to my dogs. Something was wrong with this particular bag because the other bag did not smell like this.I SHOULD get my money back, though.

The food itself is a great food; however, when I opened the two bags that I had ordered from Amazon, there was a really “off” smell about the food but I thought it was just my nose playing tricks on me. When I fed my dogs later that evening, however, they wouldn’t even touch it. And I mean they wouldn’t even touch it. They have eaten this food before so it wasn’t new to them, but they just would not touch it and that smell was unmistakably just OFF. I ended up throwing it out because I didn’t want to return it for fear that it would get fed to another animal. Something just didn’t seem right about those particular bags of food that I received. I decided not to chance it and I ordered from their regular pet store.

Our dog has a sensitive stomach and digestion issues, and after trying a wide variety of foods (including prescription diets) this is the only that she has been able to eat. She has been on this food for several years, without any issues, or loose stool. I would recommend trying it if your dog has the same problems.

My rescue dog has severe allergies to chicken. Since switching to this food he has been yeast free and has not smelled terrible. My other dog is picky and doesn’t like the food as much so we have to add pumpkin to entice her. It’s smells weird, but they are both very healthy since eating it.

Our dog has a sensitive stomach and for the longest time we couldn't find anything that would not make him sick. The simpleness of the ingredients in Wellness is easy to find and read online. They have a variety of flavors which has is very nice to be able to switch the flavors around for the dog. The best part about this is that all the bags come with a resealable top! We didn't have to invest in another container for dog food because we could keep the same bag! We even ordered a small bag of Wellness and keep it for when we travel because it seals great!

I opened the bag to the awful smell of something rancid. The product quality is very poor as it is bad/rancid.

My dog is allergic to wheat and grain products. It would manifest as constant nasty ear inflamations. My vet prescribed a dog food that is only available from vets but after 3 months I saw no improvement.Finally I researched on my own and tried Wellness Simple Solutions and after 3 months I noticed that her ear problems subsided. I supplement her evening meals with the Wellness Simple Solutions canned food and she loves it. Compared with the stuff the vet prescribed, this is working out much better.

We've been giving this food to my 2 dogs for over 2 years now. They haven't gotten tired of it already. I really like that the company strives to have a dog food with minimal ingredients, basically no fillers. The price is a bit high, but our dogs have had stomach issues in the past that has left me... cleaning up something unpleasant afterwards.
