These run a little snug. XL would have fit better but these work ok. They are light material but do insulate. My husband loves them

They are soft, comfortable, and warm. I have noticed very quickly that they are tight in the thighs and as I walk and especially squat and kneel at work that they tend to ride down and get bunched and uncomfortable after a while without constant adjustment. I am trying the size up to see if that solves the problem.

These are NOT meant to be thermal underwear. The material is a nylon/spandex blend that lets cold air easily through and carries heat away. My legs were actually colder wearing these under my jeans than without them. Also note that the fit is rather tight. I wear size 33x32 pants and the large size of these was almost too tight. I doubt they would stretch out much with use.
