Brand New. Like the watch
Just got it in today. Looks and feels great. I will post in the future on any updates. The watch looks and feels very well made. It’s not too heavy, and easily read. The Date window is pretty small. The watch band is very comfortable and seems durable. I absolutely Love the Luminous button, which looks great in low and dark lighting. This watch is the 40mm case size, which is the smallest watch I’ve ever owned. I have always bought much larger watches, i.e. 46mm and larger. So I am still getting used to the smaller watch, but it still is a great size. I’ve done a ton of research, and bought many watches, so this one seemed to have a lot of great reviews. I will update my review, whether good or bad, in the future. Because I know how hard it is to find a good watch, for a decent price nowadays. So far, songood

Great daily unit
I've recently taken interest in wrist watches. Decided I wanted a nice simple piece for daily use. The Timex I purchased came with a black leather strap that was OK. There is nothing wrong with the strap that it came with, but it felt a little thin on my wrist. Plus I didn't necessarily want to wear a leather banded watch for my daily tasks. So I purchased a nylon band and I enjoy wearing the watch so much more. Feels nicer and looks nicer with a t-shirt and shorts. The leather band will be kept to swap out for more appropriate occasions. The watch itself is exactly what I was looking for. Simple, easy to read and accurate. Plus the backlight is a nice also. I have other versions of this watch picked out that I will be buying sooner or later. Would recommend

One year of medium-duty use.
Bottom line up front:Haven't had any timing or battery issues so far. Holds up well in freshwater. Finish on the case is easily scratched. Band is comfortable. It ticks SUPER loud for a little watch.I have had this watch for a little over a year and it has seen mostly light and medium duty use. Typically I work construction and have worn Casio G-Shock watches. I had a temporary change in work circumstances and had just worn out my previous Casio so I decided to try something different. I like simple watches and this watch resembled a Timex I had as a kid as my first real watch so I watched a couple reviews on it. They warned of the loud tick, but recommended it because of the price so I ordered one.For what it cost, it has been a good field watch. I wouldn't wear it at my construction job because there is no raised edge to protect the face, but for some mid-grade field use, it has held up pretty well. I've worn it swimming in freshwater several times and it hasn't had any leaks. The finish on the case gets chipped and scratched easily, so don't expect it to stay pretty unless you baby it. The nylon band is comfortable, but suffer the same problem most of them do: over time the hole most commonly used begins to stretch out and get frayed into a larger hole. Thankfully it will be easy to replace and those bands are common.I wish it had the luminous markings like my old watch so I wouldn't need the Indiglo as much, but it is easy to see at night with the light.

Meets my expectations
Meets my expectations. I needed a beater Timex watch that was comfortable, reasonably accurate, quartz, great value for expedited funds, looked good, analog, and readable. I have had this watch for just under three weeks. The watch is large and heavy enough that it slides on my list due to the imbalance of its weight, so I frequently rotate it to the bottom of my wrist rather than have it on the top. I set it for my time zone and coordinated with UTC/Zulu and have watched it for accuracy. The date is difficult to see as the date window is so small. Mine watch loses about 6/10ths of a second each day - that is completely acceptable for my purposes. Due to the fabric watchband, it doesn't stay where I put it but that is a minor inconvenience. It hasn't suffered a significant "wack" as yet so I cannot comment concerning its shock resistance. Baring something going wrong with it during its one-year warranty in materials/workmanship, I will be keeping it.

Good looking watch with a rugged look and feel.
I haven't been wearing watches for several years but when I saw this I just had to have it. In a world where there are clocks on our phones, our tablets, our laptops and computers I asked myself why do I need a watch? I pretty much summed it up as this. Wearing a watch is a classy, manly thing and I really did miss wearing a watch everyday. So let's start again with a new watch. Besides, I now don't find myself digging in my pocket for my phone when someone asks me what time is it or when I need to look to see if my if I am running on time to a secret meeting with another covert operative for beers. This Timex has a classic design, with a rugged looking band that appears to be easily replaced down the road. I've only had it less than a week. But it feels like I have been wearing it for much longer than 5 days. I barely notice this on my wrist until I see it peeking out from my shirt sleeve or when I need to check the time. It has a solid feel to it but it doesn't feel heavy or cumbersome. I used to have a bad habit of catching watches on door frames while walking through doorways but I have yet to have this issue with this watch. Perhaps that might change when short sleeve weather comes around? The canvas style band is something new to me and I will have to get used to latching it. With one hole the band is too loose on my wrist and the next hole the band is almost too tight. I do not fault the watch for that small issue. After all, we are all built differently. Will the band stretch in time like my previous watches with leather bands or will it retain its current size? Perhaps in a few weeks or months I will know the answer to that question. As far as looks are concerned it has a classic military look and a rugged feel but by no means does it look like I'm trying to be tacticool. It is classic enough to be worn in the office, casually or in the park or at the beach. You could probably dress this up with a nice leather band for more formal office occasions or situations. But that is just a guess. It was instantly noticed by a few guys at work the first day I wore it into the office. Could it be that they are used to seeing me without a watch or just that it had a nice appeal to it? My wife likes the way it looks on me too. In other words, she didn't dismiss it as some trendy accessory and had nice things to say about the price. What about the Indiglo? Well in the dark it is easily readable. In somewhat dim light the hands seem to reflect enough light they they blend into the background and can be hard to see. But it is easier read without the indiglo in those situations. I really like the yellow seconds hand too. not too bright and just subtle enough to stick out of the black background. Does it keep accurate time? Since I set it after opening the box it appears to keep accurate time. It matches time with my Citizen, Fossil watches as well as my iPhone. If it loses any time I have yet to notice. What about the loud ticking? I don't hear it unless I put the watch up to my ear then it makes an audible tick. I have yet to hear it sitting on the nightstand next to my bed or even while wearing it. I have yet to get it wet, sweaty, dirty or banged up. But give me time, it will happen, I assure you. We will see if it stands up to regular daily use after I give it a thorough going over. I think with the classic styling of this watch it will look just as good with nicks and scratches as it does brand new. I am sure to add pictures and a follow up review down the road. I really like this watch and hope it takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Lovely watch, better than expected.
Very satisfied. I like the backlight is not as piercing as other Timex watches I've owned. Very nice build quality.
