our 5 acres of grass used to have soooooo many large fire any hills ( property used to be a hay field. We had tried other products but this one not only got rid if the hills closest to the house, where I put the product, over 2 months doing nothing else, all of them are gone on the entire property where we mow. Amazing! so easy to use.

This Stuff Turned My Lawn Into Ant-Free Real Estate (And Maybe a Spa for Lost Gnomes)
Let me tell you about the day I met Amdro Fire Ant Killer โ the moment my backyard went from Ant-geddon to Ant-alujah. I opened the bag like Indiana Jones discovering lost treasure, but instead of gold, it was granules of tiny ant doom that smelled faintly like โVictory with a hint of grass.โ And folks, thatโs a scent worth bottling. Before Amdro: Lawns of Despair My yard used to be a fire ant theme park. These ants had organized routes, committee meetings, and possibly Spotify playlists. I swear I heard one say, โLeft at the gnome, Bob.โ True story โ and now theyโre gone. With Amdro, itโs like I hit the delete key on the ant population. Poof. Vanished. No elaborate move-outs, no awkward small-talk โ just empty real estate waiting for wholesome activities like picnics and existential existential barbecues. Applied Like a Magic Trick I sprinkled this stuff around like it was confetti at a wedding โ but instead of โCongratulations!โ what I got was silence. The ants didnโt march, they didnโt rally, they didnโt even file a noise complaint. They just left. Quick, efficient, and not a single tantrum. I half-expected a tiny ant union protest banner โ but nope. Just peace. Incredible. Instant Results (Like, Really) It took less time than it takes me to decide what to watch on Netflix. One day ants. Next day โ nothing. I started questioning whether these ants had a secret teleportation skill Iโd never known about. But no โ itโs just Amdro doing its thing like a silent ant ninja assassin. Unexpected Side Effects โข My neighbor asked if Iโd hired a professional ant removal team. โข I now feel inexplicably proud when I walk barefoot outside without fear of ant ambush. โข I texted my buddy, โDude, I think my grass is now like Switzerland โ neutral and ant-free.โ โข I may have whispered โThank youโ to the bag as I put it back in the garage. (Donโt judge me โ respect where itโs earned.) If you want to evict fire ants from their overstay vacation in your yard with speed, precision, and zero remorse from the ants, this is your golden ticket. This isnโt just lawn care โ this is backyard peacekeeping. Iโm pretty sure this product qualifies as a spa treatment for grass and mandatory enemy eviction notice for ants.

Fire ants love this stuff
Iโve been using Amdro Fire Ant Killer for a little over a year and have been very happy with the results. When we first moved into our house, the fire ants had basically overrun the yard. In the past, I had used standard pesticides to kill fire ants, but it would take repeated applications to really disrupt the mounds. I noticed as soon as I began sprinkling this Amdro killer near the mounds that the ants were whipping themselves up into a frenzy to grab all of the granules that I was dropping. The order of operations is typically as follows: 1. Sprinkle the granules near the mound. 2. Watch as the ants begin a mad rush to consume it all. 3. Return the following day to find all of the granules gone and the mound in a state of utter collapse. Another thing I really like about these granules is that they donโt have a noticeable scent. I remember my dad always using fire ant killers that did the job, but smelled like death. Gone are the days of being forced to make your yard smell like rotting meat to get rid of fire ants. I have a Labrador mix, and even she doesnโt seem to have much interest in the granules. She typically passes by the treated mounds without so much as a second glance. I havenโt been able to try using them with a broadcast spreader yet, so I canโt speak to the efficacy of using it in that manner. Iโd like to one day apply it in this manner, but I live on five acres and I havenโt yet been able to justify the cost of how many bags it would take to cover my whole yard.

maybe not for all ant types
I am going to take away 1 star from this product because it did not solve my ant problem. We have many ants in our yard which is mostly shaded. Anywhere you walk there are ants. I ordered this ant killer in hopes of it working to get rid of them. I put the powder down sprinkling it in many places we walk. It seemed to work at first, but in a few days, the ants were back like nothing happened. Maybe this is good for only fire ants. If we don't have fire ants, then maybe that is why they came back. Not sure, but didn't work for us. Not the product's fault as I am sure it must work on the type of ant it is for.

Great product
This stuff works. Could not find it locally but Amazon was able to get it to me ASAP. It takes one application and fire ant mounds are no longer inhabited. Easy to just spread in the yard. Fire ants will disappear.

Been using Ambro for years
Iโve used Ambro for many many years and itโs always done the job in ridding my yard of ants. My experience has been that if I catch the mound early I get better results overall, I kill the entire mound and less likely any survivors escape to build another near by. This bag goes along away and is a good value because you donโt have to use a lot each time. I sprinkle 1/4 cup on a mound and the ants do the rest.

This is the best ant product! I used on Coastal Brown Ants in Australia, they took the bait immediately when I put it down (see video)and after 2 weeks there is no sign of activity. 5 stars
