TP-Link Archer AX10 Review: A Budget-Friendly Wi-Fi 6 Upgrade
The TP-Link WiFi 6 AX1500 (Archer AX10) is an excellent budget-friendly router that brings Wi-Fi 6 technology at an affordable price. It offers dual-band speeds of 1201 Mbps on 5 GHz and 300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, ensuring smooth performance for streaming, gaming, and everyday browsing. With OFDMA and MU-MIMO support, it efficiently handles multiple connected devices, reducing network congestion. The Gigabit Ethernet ports provide fast wired connections, making it a good choice for gaming and video conferencing. One of its standout features is its compatibility with Amazon Alexa, allowing users to control it using voice commands. The Tether app makes setup and management easy, even for beginners. However, it does come with some limitations. The lack of a USB port means no external storage or printer connectivity, and it still uses WPA2 security instead of the more advanced WPA3. Additionally, while it has solid performance, it lacks advanced features like custom QoS settings and detailed parental controls.Overall, the Archer AX10 is a great choice for small to medium households looking to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 without breaking the bank. While it may not have premium features, it delivers solid performance, fast speeds, and reliable connectivity, making it a worthwhile investment for everyday use.

TP-Link Archer AX1500: A Solid Entry into the World of Wi-Fi 6The TP-Link Archer AX1500 stands out as a compelling and affordable entry-level Wi-Fi 6 router. It brings the benefits of the latest generation of wireless technology to your home network without breaking the bank. Here's a detailed review:Key Features and Performance:* Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax): This is the star of the show. Wi-Fi 6 offers significant improvements over the previous Wi-Fi 5 standard, providing faster speeds, increased capacity, and reduced latency, especially in environments with multiple connected devices.* AX1500 Dual-Band Speeds: The router delivers combined dual-band speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps (1201 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band). This is sufficient for most home networking needs, including smooth 4K streaming, online gaming, and video conferencing.* OFDMA and MU-MIMO: These technologies are crucial for efficient handling of multiple devices. OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) allows a single transmission to carry data to multiple devices simultaneously, while MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output) enables the router to communicate with multiple devices at the same time, improving overall network efficiency and reducing congestion.* Powerful Triple-Core CPU: The 1.5 GHz triple-core processor ensures smooth and reliable performance, handling data transfer efficiently and minimizing latency, even when multiple devices are connected and demanding tasks are being performed.* Enhanced Coverage: Four high-gain external antennas combined with Beamforming technology provide a wider and more focused Wi-Fi signal, extending coverage throughout your home and improving the stability of connections, especially for devices that were previously in weak signal areas.* Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Equipped with one Gigabit WAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports, the AX1500 allows you to take full advantage of your broadband speeds and provides fast, reliable wired connections for devices like computers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.* Easy Setup and Management: TP-Link offers a user-friendly Tether app for both Android and iOS, making the initial setup process quick and intuitive. The app also allows for easy management of network settings, including parental controls, guest networks, and more, from your smartphone. A web interface is also available for more advanced configuration.* WPA3 Security: The Archer AX1500 supports WPA3, the latest Wi-Fi security protocol, offering enhanced protection for your wireless network with more secure encryption.* Guest Network: You can easily set up separate guest networks for both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, providing internet access to visitors without compromising the security of your main network.* Parental Controls: These allow you to manage internet access for children, block inappropriate content, and set time limits for online usage.* VPN Server: The router supports OpenVPN and PPTP VPN server functionality, allowing you to securely access your home network from anywhere.Pros:* Affordable price point for a Wi-Fi 6 router.* Good performance on the 5 GHz band for streaming and gaming.* Easy to set up and manage via the Tether app.* Decent Wi-Fi coverage for small to medium-sized homes.* Supports the latest WPA3 security protocol.* Offers Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast wired connections.Cons:* The 2.4 GHz performance might be less impressive in some scenarios.* Lacks advanced features found in higher-end routers, such as multi-gig LAN ports or USB ports.* Does not support 160MHz channel width, which could limit potential speeds with some Wi-Fi 6 devices.* No built-in anti-malware tools.* Firmware customization is not possible. Conclusion:The TP-Link Archer AX1500 is a solid choice for users looking to upgrade to Wi-Fi 6 without spending a lot of money. It delivers reliable performance for everyday tasks, streaming, and online gaming, with the added benefits of increased capacity and efficiency for homes with multiple devices. While it may lack some of the advanced features of more expensive routers, it provides a significant upgrade over older Wi-Fi 5 routers and offers excellent value for its price. If you're in the market for an entry-level Wi-Fi 6 router that is easy to use and provides a noticeable improvement in wireless performance, the Archer AX1500 is definitely worth considering.

Expensive and Missing Features
-you might need to read this if u having 2.4ghz range issue : "when i had first time setup this router,i wasgetting very less 2.4ghz range, signal in other room,i was not very happy with that so i did this- i updatedthe router's firmware manually(downloaded from tp link site) after that i reset the router, then whensetting it up,in wireless setting do not disable smart connect feature or else you will have trouble withrange even if you only want to use 2.4 ghz,i heard this limits speed to 100mbps but this was the onlyway by which i got more range else i was getting like 1-2 mbps but now its 20-28 mbps big difference."-build quality is ok-interface is ok-note-router's inbuilt automatic firmware upgrade doesnt work well as it didnt chose to update lastupdated firmware, choosed older one.i had to manually update it.version which was delivered is v1.0 older one(kind of disappointed from this but router works and thatswhat i need)-Even some of the features that other cheap tp link routers offer are missing such as wds bridge,3rd partyvpn support-i dont think, router has heating coz its normal for routers to get hot such as my modem+router combowhich goes upto 65 degree in summer still doesnt restart or disconnect.this one doesnt have feature tosee temperature from interface so cant say anything about heating issue in router-(Please Use Your Modem in Bridge Mode and Then Connect this one or you might not get full out of thisrouter and will experience double-nat type issue.)-i bought this router because my isp just blocked my router's admin access via firmware update and theyare not providing credentials now i just cant do anything to its wireless settings or lan settings so ibought this routerwill update this review in june if it overheats or if i face any issue, currently it is working ok with my zte f660 modem being on bridge mode.Update After Summer:its been few months since i bought this router and what i can tell is that the experience was quite good, especially i tested it with some stress testing tools and what i found is that router doesn't overheat nor restart. In those past few months i had received some firmware updates which may have improved stability of router which was not noticed by me, Currently the router has firmware v1.3.9 which was released on 28 July 2023 and have not yet received any update since then.During all my use what i found is that the router actually supports 1GBPS speeds on ethernet like i have 500mbps plan and speeds are actually quite good and sometimes my isp removes the speed limit, and it does touches 1 GBPS speeds; interesting thing is when it touches 1gbps,router's cpu doesn't go beyond 20% cpu usage or 50% memory usage so software is well optimized.I did some stress testing and software maintains its resources very well and overall it performs well even during full utilization. One thing that i liked is that 5 GHZ range is actually quite good, i mean its literally equivalent to its 2.4GHZ range which is also kind of bad as it depicts that 2.4GHZ is bad which is actually true but anyways i saw 70 mbps speed where 2.4GHZ was providing like 5mbps speed. All summer, router performed very well and i didn't suffered any restart nor any heating issue of my router.Note that all the speed tests were performed on ethernet as my phone just couldn't get speed beyond 280 down and 380 up so i was kind of restricted on wifi testing.I am not a mobile gamer so i don't know the latency stability on wifi as i prefer PC with ethernet.
