Good theft deterrent
I have a Travelon purse with zipper locks, but my next trip is a hiking trip where I’ll be carrying a backpack rather than a purse. I will oftentimes put a luggage lock on the zippers of my backpack, but I keep the key in my wallet, and on this trip I plan to keep my wallet in my backpack, and I had visions of myself locking myself out of my backpack. So I decided to do a zipper clip instead. I thought about getting the type of clips that are similar to the ones on my Travelon purse, but this one looked more attractive and better suited to a backpack, plus the color matches perfectly. The clips arrived on time, new and in the original packaging. Opening and closing this lock is not intuitive and requires 2 hands, and I definitely feel that it secures my backpack zippers very effectively. It is also difficult to attach to the zippers and remove again which was a hassle when putting on my backpack (and it took me 3 tries to get both sides on in the right direction) but again this increases the security these provide. The package comes with 2 clips which is a good thing as the one I put on my backpack is now there permanently (yes it can be removed if I wanted to do so, but it’s a real hassle to take on and off that I have no intention of removing it ever). Unlike a luggage lock, these are very light in weight, and since my backpack is completely full, I do not need even another couple ounces on my back. Overall, I think these are a good choice as a theft deterrent. If I have issues with the durability, I’ll update this review accordingly. *This review was made in good faith based on my personal experience with the product. The seller did not request that I write this review, and I received no monetary or non-monetary compensation for this review.

Works as intended and they ARE easy to Open.
These work as intended and can be opened and closed in a second once you understand how they work. All of the 1 star reviews are people that can't figure it out. So here is a tip, if you look on the back, you'll see two half moon cutouts. So place both thumbs on the center line on the side that says BOBINO. Then use your pointer fingers and place them on the half moon cutouts in the REAR of the lock. Then simply use your thumbs to press away while from the lock while pulling your fingers towards you. All that you are doing is creating leverage to separate the two pieces. Very Easy!!! Now on to the real review. They work great. Used them to lock my camera backpack while traveling through Istanbul and Greece this summer and had no issues. The best part is that they click when they come apart. So any pickpocket would have to know how to open them and even then, you should feel something or hear a click. I ended up buying more of these since they are easier to operate than locks.

Great Theft Deterrent for Travel!
Purchased multiple of these of already multiple time for multiple trips abroad and plan to buy more if i ever need to in the future. Initially bought them for a quick trip to paris to deter that city’s infamous pickpockets. I see a few reviews here docking stars complaining that these are hard to operate, but i am giving these 5 stars because YES they are difficult to open! but that’s EXACTLY the point of buying these!! if a thief has never come across these locks they will definitely have a very difficult time figuring out to use this at which point you should have noticed already that someone is touching your bag because this requires 2 steps to open so there will definitely be movement of your bag that you should be able to feel. as the owner of the lock however, once you figure out how to open it, it should not be too difficult for you to open these especially with a little practice. keep in mind however, these are NOT actual locks, unlike say a traditional combination lock for luggage. given enough time a person will be able to figure out how to open or remove this. so this does still require some sort of vigilance on your part and you should still place your bag in such a way you’ll be able to sense movement of your belongings. but this product is definitely great for things such as purses that have small zipper openings that traditional locks wouldn’t be able to fit. used this in paris for my backpack that i still needed to be able to access without having to fumble around with a lock each time. pickpockets are great at using jackets or enclosed crowded spaces like elevators or public transport to cover up their thieving hands so these were also great to use with a crossbody purse since if when they tried any of their tricks i was able to feel if they were trying to unlock this. also keep in mind that you do need TWO zipper pull tabs to use this! i was not able to use this on the front pocket of my back pack as there wasn’t anything i would be able to attach the other side of the lock to.

Theft deterrent is definitely what it is for
I really like this product because of the minimalist design rather having a clunky lock on my zippers on a backpack for traveling. That said, for anyone looking to purchase these should keep in mind that they are meant as a theft deterrent. Not a lock. If you pull hard enough on the zippers they are meant to keep together, it will eventually unsnap. However, it takes a decent amount of pulling to do so and you would definitely notice if your carrying your bag and some thief were to try. Surprisingly, the clips seemed to be kept durable even after testing how much strength it would take to open them on a bag. I think they do great as a deterrent! For me, the unlocking and locking was not that difficult once you figure out the trick that works for you. I will admit figuring out how to get them on the zippers and lay the correct way (not sticking out weird) on my backpack took a little bit. Also, their keyring that is used to attach to the zipper is kind of small (which is expected) and that made getting one on a little harder since I wasn't able to get that edge in the keyring at first. Maybe I just needed nails for it. Unsnapping and snapping them back together a few times definitely helped me to "wear them in" like another review mentioned. Overall, they can be a little pricey (probably for lack of actual competition) but I think they are worth the price for peace of mind. I would recommend them to someone who wants something subtle on their travel bags like a carry-on, backpack, etc.

Helping Keep my Son Safe
Our son has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Due to a lack of understanding with dangerous situations and communication deficits, he has what is called a Haven Sleep Safety Bed. This bed helps us have peace of mind at night, while he is safe and secure from harming himself. We have health insurance, but the price tag on this bed is $18,660. 😳🤮🤔 You would think there's no way he would be able to figure out how to get out, right? Well, where he lacks in communication, he makes up for it in problem solving/enginuity. Somehow, he managed to work the zippers from the interior of the bed. Luckily, he woke our oldest son up, but not after he had some fun in the toilet and tub. 🤮 After cleaning him, the mess, and getting him back in bed, I went to the internet. I found this product and immediately loved the idea of it hooking onto each piece of the double zipper. Trying to deal with a lock, or some extra piece that could get lost (or eaten by a child or dog in this house), just didnt seem ideal. So far, this works great. I love that it does its job, helping keep my son safe. I don't have to worry about losing a part. I don't have to add extra worry to fumbling with a combination lock or key if, God forbid, there were ever a fire in our home. (That's a whole other level of fear and concern without adding a lock with a key or combo to it.) Anyway, all of that to say this works great. I do, sometimes, get a little confused on sliding the pieces together correctly to make them snap, but if I get it wrong the first time, I easily get it the second time.

Easy to use anti theft lock
Bought this for travel to prevent any pickpocketing. It's really easy to use and does the job well.

Good product. Didn’t work for me.
First work for my application. The zipper leather loops were too wide.

Great product to deter opportunistic theft.
It amuses me that most of the negative reviews for this product are from people complaining that it is not easy to unlock. Isn't that the point? If you're choosing to buy a lock that doesn't rely on a combination, then it needs to incorporate a mechanism that is still somehow difficult enough to deter theft. Thus, this product. Here's why I gave this product 5 stars: * IT MET MY NEEDS -- I wanted a lock for a backpack that I intended to wear at all times during daily city travel and tourism. I was mostly looking to deter pickpockets and opportunistic thieves from unzipping my backpack when I was in crowded areas. * WHEN UNLOCKED, I DO NOT HAVE TO HOLD ONTO THE LOCK -- A lot of small combination locks are designed to loop a strong cord through the holes in zippers. Unfortunately, when you unlock them, that means you have to do something with the lock itself: either attach it to one zipper, put it in a pocket, or hold on to it. Not this lock. The two halves remain independently attached to their respective zippers, even when they're unlocked, which actually makes it easier (in my opinion) to switch from locked to unlocked. * IT'S NOT DIFFICULT TO UNLOCK IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING -- Despite what some reviews may say, this lock doesn't require a Ph.D. in rocket science to unlock. It's confusing and time consuming enough to deter a thief or give you the time to realize that someone is touching your stuff, but once you know how to unlock it, you know. The only downside to the product is that it doesn't include directions to help you figure it out your first time, but luckily you can find them here on Amazon. If you have dexterity issues with your hands, though, then then this might not be the product for you. Overall, it does a pretty good job of doing what it's supposed to do.
