Good starter set
I bought these to pair with the Wen belt/disc sander. The aluminum oxide sanding pads arrived in good shape. I was worried the shipping bag would be filled with sand chips and bare pads but they were fine. Understand what you're buying here. This really is about convenience. It's a combination of different grits that will suit most applications. This is not fine woodworking but it gets the job done. I don't expect these to last long, but that's ok based on the price. I've tried cleaning up a few with my Powertec sanding wax thingy (also available on AMZ) and it was iffy. I would recommend this as a good all-around starter pack, but also recommend spending more to buy additional pads in higher grits depending on you use case.

Works for sanding wood or silver jewelry!
I needed this for my jewelry making and repair work on my Japanese Sword wooden parts. I make scabbards and handles for my swords and use the sanding belts and discs to shape them. I also use it for shaping rings, bracelets and other jewelry after soldering pieces together. I bought the sander at auction and was not sure the belts would fit, but they did and work very well. I like that there is a variety of sanding grits so I can start with rough finishing and work to a finer and smoother finish.

Unusable
The overlap where the belt is glued sticks up by almost a full paper thickness. So sanding consists of a big bump every revolution of the sander. Impossible to get a decent finish. There are only 2 things a sanding belt needs: good sanding paper and NO SEAM! Paper is okay but useless with the cheap ass seam. Absolutely worthless. No way any of the good reviews actually tried using this garbage.

Good variety of sanding disc's, and plenty of them. Great to have extras around the woodshop. Very sticky 6in disc's, and the belts fit perfectly. I will be getting more in the future.

Delivered product damaged
The disk was delivered bent and the edges are creased or damaged. This would lead to tearing when used. Could this be replaced?
