The Woods Cook: Outdoor Cooking With A Professional Guide

As an aspiring outdoors woman and frequent backyard cook (Dutch oven on a brush fire!) this book hit the spot. I read it cover to cover in two days. Incredible amount of practical knowledge and a LOT of recipes. Very well thought out and the little stories throughout made it meaningful.

A fantastic book full of great information. Not just recipes but, equipment tips/tricks and suggestions, set ups, short stories and tales, and general cooking knowledge.I can’t recommend this book highly enough for any outdoor cook.

The subject is thoroughly covered. Very well laid out & I still learned a few things. Highly recommended.

An excellent, comprehensive guide to outdoor cooking by an experienced Master Maine Guide. There are some great anecdotes to go along with the recipes too.

This is a how to book on traditional wood fired cooking techniques. Excellent coverage.

Easy to read, practical and useful. You can tell it was put together based on experience!

This is a must have book if you camp out and want to eat healthily. Using old world knowledge coupled with modern tech, the author explains the processes in an easy to replicate way. Food cooked over a wood fire always tastes better!

Its content is exceptional because the author truly knows his stuff. But, nonetheless I could rate it only three stars because of how physically it is written. Hyperlinks don’t work, and everything in it it’s totally messed up making it almost unreadable.Would pay twice to have it decently wrapped up.
