’ve been using Beauty By Earth Self Tanner for a few weeks now, and I really like the natural-looking color it gives. It’s not too orange or fake-looking like some other self-tanners I’ve tried. The lotion has a pleasant scent—not too strong or chemical-smelling—which makes the application more enjoyable.It’s easy to apply and dries fairly quickly, but it does take several hours to fully develop the color, so you have to be patient. The tan fades gradually and evenly, which is a plus. I just wish it built up a little faster or was a bit darker, but for a subtle glow, it’s great.Overall, I’d recommend it if you want a gentle, natural-looking self-tan without a lot of fuss. I think this is my brand and I won't use anything else.

I just tried this brand after wanting a more “clean” self tanner. I’m a self tanner for years. I like so many things about the lotion in medium to dark. (I am naturally olive skinned.) First of all, you can see where the lotion is applied because it goes on white, but fades to skin color as you rub it in. I had nice even coverage, no streaks or blotches. Next, it’s not smelly and the product doesn’t stain clothes. I put on white shorts after 15 minutes with no transfer. The color develops over 8 hours. In the photo, I have applied twice. After waiting 8 hours on day one, I decided that I wanted a little darker tan, so I reapplied on day two and it’s perfect. I love that it’s buildable to go between a spring vs. summer tan shades. Lastly, my skin looks and feels hydrated. I bought the 7.5 oz. and it’s a great value for the price. So glad I tried this self tanner!

I liked this self-tanner. The pros are that it doesn't smell bad like most self-tanners, it's a healthier choice, and it looks good. The cons are it's a little expensive, and it still adds only a light tint. For reference, I am fair-skinned and ordered the darker color option. I would buy it again.

I have been using self tanner for many years and absolutely love this product. Its so easy to apply. I use my hand and wash with soap and water afterwards--no staining on my palms. A little bit goes a long way on your body. It covers beautifully. I have lighter skin normally but can tan decently in the sun. I use the fair to medium product and it looks very natural. I really appreciate that not only does it smell nice going on, my skin doesn't have that awful cooked-chemical smell once it starts working on my skin. My color lasts a good 5 days between application. I really appreciate the clean (er), less toxic ingredients.

This is the best self tanner I have ever used. I used to use Tan Physics but it doesn’t hold a candle to this one.I used an application brush and I saw not one streak. The color is perfect (I chose the lighter color since I have fair skin) and even though it does highlight dark spots a bit, it’s no more noticeable than without the tanner. I really look like I have a natural tan!There is an odor but it fades after a couple of days, and not a big deal. And…it lasts much longer than any tanner I’ve used. Lots of pluses here.I would definitely recommend this product.

I am a fair skinned blue eyed blonde, and I purchased the lightest shade. I liked that the fragrance was very light and the lotion made my skin feel very soft. It also felt moisturizing. What I didn’t like. Is that three hours after I applied it? I could see no color difference. I applied another coat. Both times it was applied with a brush. I waited another three hours and was disappointed not to see anything as far as a color change. The next morning I woke up and my legs reminded me of the color of a Willy Wonka Oompa Loompa. I had only applied it on my legs and it was quite bizarre. I have used an exfoliating scrub as well as an exfoliating mitt and found it difficult to remove all the color. I will try it again using just one coat. Was he understanding now that it may take a day before the color shows. That is frustrating. I’m hoping with only one coat that it will look more natural. I had purchased this based on the great reviews that I had read. I will review again once I have only used one coat.

I’m so glad I found this! I have used this tanner for several years now. It is an excellent self-tanner! It goes on smoothly and easily and it results in a natural-looking, pretty tan which you can make darker by reapplying. I like that it is made with natural ingredients and doesn’t have an icky smell like some others I’ve tried. The scent is light and actually reminds me a little bit of sugar cookies, and it doesn’t linger after it dries. It comes in a very large tube and lasts a long time so I feel like I got my money’s worth. Beauty By Earth is definitely my go-to tanner!
