Nothing like it elsewhere
It took me quite some time to read through this wonderful book because it was laden with hidden gems of knowledge and crystals of wisdom. Unique analysis of vibrational correspondences and weaving worlds into complex geometric structures that we call gemstones. In reading this book, I developed a new found appreciation for the intricacies of gems and metals. I will return to it time and again. Thank you for translating this book into English!

Love this book
I particularly enjoy the writing style of the author which gives adequate detail and background related to how stones and crystals have been an active part of the human experience for millennia. His expertise in applying this history and practices to the Ageless Wisdom Teachings is what I appreciate the most, though.

The ebook covers valuable material but the columns in the content section and another area cut out two to three letters per line. The eBook will have to be done again to correct these errors and I hope I am entitled to a newly formed eBook version of this book when it has been repaired properly.

Excellent book
The book gave an new perspective on the alignment of chakras, colors and rays. Great to be updated as the universe changes, since I work with stones and chakras.

Gemstones and Theosophy
Coquet has come up with a very unique idea as the basis for this book. He is merging gemology with ancient teachings on the aspects of the soul. Most modern teaching on these soul aspects comes from Theosophy (where they are known as the Seven Rays) and, in particular, from the writings of Alice Bailey. It is a highly complex, esoteric teaching which has traditionally been daunting to most readers. Coquet (who rounds out Bailey's ideas with teachings from sources like ancient Hinduism, Hildegard von Bingen, and Hermeticism) has managed to communicate the information in a way that makes it much more accessible than it has been to date. It is a gift to serious students and interested beginners alike. The book is well organized and dense with information about both the ancient wisdom teachings and gemstones. It is a reference that you will want to come back to again and again. Learn about the devas/angels who energize the mineral kingdom, the exoteric and esoteric colors of gemstones, astrological correspondences, the use of sacred stones in the world's major religions, the healing properties of gemstones, the spiritual powers of gemstones, and -- perhaps most helpful to most of us -- acceptable, less expensive substitutes for these precious gems. Whether you are researching the use of gems for use in spiritual practice, or just want to make more "informed" jewelry choices, this book has much to offer from a very knowledgeable author. Kudos, also, to Jon Graham for his excellent translation.(InannaWorks.com received a free review copy of this book.)

No useful knowledge about the usage of crystals in personal life. More like a GK book
There's nothing useful in the book. It's like a random general knowledge book for gen stones without any knowledge provided on the usage of the crystals mentioned in the book. Was a complete waste of my money.

Stones of the Seven Rays
I was really looking forward to reading this book. However, unfortunately for me, it is a disappointing read.It contains a lot of information, but i found it to be very muddled, confusing and not clearly written. It jumps from one subject to another, and we never really get a clear, complete explanation of any of the subject matterit is trying to cover. It has a few nice photos but nowhere near enough considering the book is about gemstones; and why choose such a photo of a low quality amethyst as an illustration?!Historical background is good but it is a pity it wasn't followed with a coherent, practical guide to spiritual ascension using these seven gemstones which is what most people will be interested in when they buy the book and what the author said he was attempting to do as there has not been a clear update of this information in recent times. He has insight into the subject but the book is like a jumble of interesting facts one after the other with no coherent strand holding it together! This may be down to the fact it is a translation from the French..? or that it needs a better editor...?

Good Book
The book is great but the cover was quite badly bent when it arrived, even so the book is still in good readable condition.
