Curonian Fire Pit Steel Cover/Lid - 25"

Fits the fire pit and is very handy for putting out the fire at the end of the night. I wouldn't drop it on the top and leave it if you have a full tub of hot coals (unless it's an emergency), but when it's time for bed and the embers are dying it's nice to just put the lid on and head inside knowing that what remains of the fire will be safely out in a short time.

I love the orange patina! Two weeks covering my fire pit in the elements gave a great texture. I placed table salt on the cover to help accelerate the process.

It does rust but I can’t imagine the number of years it would take to resemble the picture included in the description.Save yourself the aggravation and keep looking

I am pleased with the fire pit and the quick response by the company when I contacted them regarding the stand, which had a small area that still needed to be welded. They rectified the problem without a hassle. Since it will take awhile to reach the nice rusty patina that makes this pit so cool, I misted it with salt water a few times. That sped up the process and my fire pit is looking great. It fits well with the rustic appearance I am aiming for as I decorate the exterior and gardens of my country home.

These photo's I posted are what you will get, not the picture shown above. They call it "rusting steel" but neglect to say it will take many years to fully rust and who knows what it will look like. I bought bc I thought I would get what is advertised, so it's going back.

It took forever to get this lid! Lost in shipping, contacted sender twice, finally received it. It took one day for the lid to turn orange! Not an attractive rust look, just orange. Needless to say I’m disappointed.
